Horrible management. They do UNPAID training sessions. Hit-or-miss HCAs. The two previous HCAs committed time-theft on a regular basis. Not active about getting vaccinated... in a caregiver role!! They don't even know their own policies. Current caregiver is very difficult due to their ESL language barrier. read more

Location: Wheeling, IL To Help at Home, We are writing to express our sincere gratitude for the outstanding care and service provided by Hsiang-Ting Chen. Hsiang-Ting has shown exceptional compassion, kindness, and dedication in her work with my mother Wendy Jiang, Aunt Mei and other elderly residents @445 E Main St, Barrington,IL. She not only performs her household and hygiene duties with great care and attention, but she also goes above and beyond to offer thoughtful and respectful service to those she helps. Her loving heart and empathetic attitude bring comfort and support to the elderly, and her presence has made a meaningful difference in their lives. We truly appreciate her efforts and the warmth she brings to her work. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Sincerely, John read more

Poor care. Lazy caregivers entitled to change the rules as they please. Sit on arse and don't do anything. Lack of communication. No return calls. Gives a false sense of dignity. Care is not given. They run and do their errands while supposed to be helping with errands. Talks patient out of their Vicodin to take themselves. Where do they find these employees is beyond me. Over a year of hell is enough. read more

Hired in May 2024. This is now August and still not a client. Communication between myself and Kettering/ Cincy office is non existent. Won't return emails nor phone calls. Hired people just to be hiring which is a waste of money. Don't recommend this business because it communication is non existent and they do not care about staff. read more

Laura at Help at home has been very supportive and sends ppl to cover shifts regularly! My health has been up and down and she quick to send good quality careworkers !! Thanks much Laura, I know it's been a struggle for both of us read more

Do not waste your time to get job at that Help at home. They will ask you to fill out a lot of paperwork with your personal information, spend hours on bogus training, and then you will get only one job offer in four months. Don't surprise if that offer will be somewhere 20 miles away from your home and only for two hours a day. That's hilarious and so disappointed. read more

No communication or respect. Owes me money for 3 months now that I will never get. You are a number and can be replaced :(

Let me express myself after working with help at home in Jefferson City Missouri. Don't even try to work for this company I'm not kidding you you will spend 3 days do an in-home training and won't get paid for it and then they say you're $100 bonus covers that but you have to work 180 days in 3 months to get. They make it impossible for you to ever get your bonus. My first day when I went into work I didn't even get to meet my supervisor she had everybody do the work for her and then when I finally did get to meet with her she wore a low-cut shirt with her cleavage sticking out how unprofessional. They don't care about their caregivers and they don't care about the clients I know several clients that have went out without caregivers but yet they say that they have no clients. I want to know how this company is getting paid the only thing I can think of is they could be possibly you know I'm not saying they are ripping off the state claiming hours that have not been served. That's my opinion. There are good agencies out there but this isn't one of them. See read more

I used to work at the downtown office. Some (not all) of the staff members are rude. I left the company because I also didn't get paid. The union (SEIU) is not helpful when it comes to grievances. I loved working with the seniors. I miss my clients very much. My client left the agency once I left. read more

When I looked at my pay, I didn't get paid. The week their app went down, I never got my hourly rate. So I worked for nothing. This company evidently doesn't like to pay their employees!! read more

Indescribable is their lack of service, no shows, excuses, excuses, excuses!!! After two months of waiting..lump it

(i wish i could give negative stars!) it's really sad that such a horribly-run business is in the business of "helping" very sick, disabled and elderly people. 8 years of personal experience (not my choice--the city hires this agency and i use the city) to back this up. years of putting up with one intimidating employee (my "assistants") were bad enough. but most of the employees (who make very little, sadly) care FAR more about their disabled and elderly clients than do any of the often selfish, lazy, unprofessional and downright rude staff. i wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. i'd rather have NO help than endure all i have been through. read more
