    Marinara pizza
    Emma D.

Oh this place! Seriously, how can anyone cook food for you in about 60 seconds and it taste like they have been cultivating it lovingly for about a year!? I can't wait for Made of Dough to have their own restaurant, they definitely deserve it...their food is delicious! Probably the best street food pizza I've ever tasted. I had the Marinara at the Yelp Secret Brixton event which was simply tomato, olive oil and basil as a topping. So simple but so good! I then went back for a margarita pizza too as it was just too good to not go back for seconds! I then HAD to take my partner to Made of Dough recently on a return visit to Pop Brixton which was the main reason for our visit, who also agreed that it is exceptional pizza. I love watching them make it in their wood fire oven and the guys that run this place are super friendly too and are always playing decent music! They are also at Shepherds Bush Market and even though I don't venture over that way very often I would love to go and check them out over there too. I can't wait to visit them again soon! YUM

    Pizza bianca of artichokes
    Wendy L.

Still hungry after the Yelp event at Pop Up Brixton I found myself fascinated at the sight of a fresh pizza being made from near the beginning to end, right in front of your very eyes. In a little stall converted from a shipping container, there was a proper wood pizza oven in there too. Staff were pretty laid back and cool. We ordered a pizza bianca of artichokes and was surprised at how incredibly quick it took to deliver from a bit of fresh dough, to a full on pizza in front of us. 4 minutes to be exact! Pizza bianca of artichokes The cheese came generously, mild and stretchy like how I like it. Beautifully buttery tender artichokes scattered around seasoned over with garlic oil and rosemary. There the dough was light and spongy, a great texture and giving an excellently bite. But there was one problem, it was really burnt in some places, dark charrings that sent a miserable bitterness across the pizza. I don't know if it is possible to always guarantee a non burnt base as it seems to take a high level to control especially when you're playing with real fire.. But with a little bit of work peeling those burnt bits off than you will have one fantastic pizza, a fresh and hot. Prices ranges from £6-£10. Mine cost £8 which is not bad and although Franco Manco is cheaper, this place has quality, greater flavour and is more generous on the toppings

    Marinara special. Only £5

This is seriously good pizza cooked perfectly in a real wood oven. I can't rate it high enough. Try the white pizza with kale it's epic!

I got The Proud Boy and it was blackened white fish, with a garlic white sauce, juice of lemon, cole slaw, green onions, and a choice of jalapeños. It wasn't fishy at all; flavors were excellent!

So when I saw Hank's was going to be with Kerb at UCL, I knew I had to give it a try. In all honesty, I've never been to New Orleans in my life. It's on my list, okay? But I've had Cajun food, and what I've had I've enjoyed. There were two Po' Boy sandwiches on offer when I was there: The Poor Boy (Beef with slaw and horseradish mayonnaise) and Chaurice, sauce and cheese (Chaurice sausage meatballs with tomato sauce and cheese). I opted for The Poor Boy. I saw them making it, and it looked amazing. They then asked me if I wanted hot sauce and chilies? Oh yes please, make it spicy! I couldn't wait to eat it. And it was as good as it looked. Spicy, meaty and rich with crunchy slaw and toasty, warm bread. It was even quite messy, but I didn't care. I just wanted the whole thing. And now, writing this review, I want to go back and immediately get another one. Or the sausage meatballs. Because it was that good. I'm gonna keep an eye out for Hank's. Their website says they do a variety of Po' Boys, including one with oysters, and that's the one that I really want to try next.

Keens Cheddar, Ogleshield & Onion Mix (£5.50) - You can add bacon for £1, which I highly recommend. This was the flavor that we chose and it was simple but just delicious. The cheese was flavorful but not overpowering, and there was a decent amount of bacon. The sandwich was grilled well (possibly a little overdone in areas but it was still fine), and the cheese was all melted. I didn't want the sandwich to be finished as I was eating. Other flavors: - Rosary Goats Cheese, Honey, Walnut & Rosemary Butter (£6) - Cropwell Bishop Stilton Bacon & Pear Chutney (£6) - Queso Chihuahua, Chorizo & Jalapeno Salsa (£6.50) I'd definitely get another sandwich here (even the same exact flavor because it was that good) next time I'm on a trip to London. Don't miss this place at Maltby Market, it's one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches I've had in my life!

They have just a few tables in one corner, hidden under some stairs leading up to the Embankment bridge. If it's not a rainy day, however, you wouldn't want to sit anyway, as Southbank is known for its lively touristy vibe, beautiful views, and plethora of things to see and do; even during these times. The London Eye is located just a few minutes away, and the wide variety of restaurants and food stalls just a few minutes' walk in any direction means you'll never have to drink your booze on an empty stomach. Beany has been making some of my favorite and best-tasting cocktails since I first visited in 2016, and their menu- whilst virtually unchanged- still offers some of the best boozy concoctions in the area; yes, beer and wine are available, too. My favorites are anything with coffee as part of the ingredients list, so that Espresso Martini is definitely a must; of course these guys are pros, so if you have a cocktail in mind that isn't on the menu and they have the ingredients on-hand, just let them know and they'll hook you up. They even have canned organic rosé available now, and I have to admit, it's actually not bad. And, if booze isn't your thing, regular coffee is also available, and tastes as good as anything coming out of an independent coffee shop. The service is also pretty chill, but if you're stopping by during the weekend, expect a bit of a queue and some rushed ordering. Contactless only, I'm afraid. Happy drinking!
