Soft tofu soup
Lynn M.

The quality of the food is good but it's slightly pricey for what it's worth. My friend and I ordered the classic bibimbap and seafood sundubu (soft tofu soup). We also got makgeoli so we spent a good amount of money (I think ~€18 each). The soft tofu soup was quite good, as was the bibimbap. I don't know if I'll return because I would rather explore other places that may be cheaper. Also, they give a couple banchan with the main dishes but you can also order the banchan separately. It's weird because I don't ever think banchan should cost money!!!!! That is a rule in Korea. Come on now!!!!

Korean pancake

Oh how I missed Asian food... I was tired of Portugal's one kind of cuisine and decided my trip to Berlin was going to be my chance for tasty ethnic foods. I had a mediocre Thai food experience on my first night which made me wary of Berlin Asian food but Madang was the real deal! I wished my bf was with me so we could have ordered the bbq but, since I was alone I ordered the beef bibimbop and a Korean pancake. It was delicious! The bibimbop was sizzling and spicy, the egg was runny, and there was a nice crunchy crust to the rice. Even the side dishes were prepared with care--the kimchee was perfectly spicy and the fermented beans (which I usually skip because the flavor is overpowering) were much better than normal. The service was nice and friendly and they have English menus. I only have one complaint about the whole meal. I ordered the pancake because I was starving. So I thought they would bring it out as an appetizer rather than with my bibimbop. But this was a small oversight.

This place was a complete bait-and-switch. They advertised galbi gui, but what came out looked…read morenothing like galbi gui. Instead of grilled short ribs, I was served a saucy, spicy pan of meat and vegetables that felt more like a stir-fry than anything resembling the dish on the menu. If you are going to use the name of a classic Korean dish, at least serve something vaguely close to it. To make it worse, they told me KBBQ required ordering for 2 people minimum, so I was forced to buy two portions of this lie. That policy is already obnoxious, but it feels even worse when the food itself is misrepresented. And then the Korean pancakes came served with cream cheese. Very authentic. Nothing says traditional Korean food quite like random cream cheese slapped onto dishes that do not call for it. Overall, this place felt overpriced, misleading, and gimmicky. If you want actual Korean food, go somewhere that does not rewrite the menu and call it authentic

Our very first experience at a Korean restaurant -- and what a memorable one! Big thanks to our…read moreadventurous son and daughter-in-law for nudging us out of our comfort zone. We have absolutely no regrets. We kicked things off with Korean mandu (dumplings) -- absolutely fantastic! Then came the spicy BBQ chicken, which really took us by surprise with its bold, delicious flavor. The bulgogi beef and galbi gui (boneless ribs) were cooked right at the table, which added a fun and reassuring touch of freshness. The taste was excellent, and all the accompanying sauces complemented the dishes beautifully. We left full and happy with all our choices. The restaurant itself was cozy, nicely decorated, and the service met all expectations. A great first dive into Korean cuisine -- we're already looking forward to the next time!
