Day 2 - Poor Communication and Unauthorized Work: At approximately 10am, I called for an update and was told they were still running tests with a promised callback by lunchtime. After receiving no call by 2pm, I followed up again and was told they were still working with a callback promised within a few hours. He stated he test-drove the vehicle and it was drivable but lacked power above 50mph. Discovery of Sabotage and Negligence: I obtained a second opinion, which indicated only the passenger side turbo might need replacement. I purchased an OEM turbo from the dealership for $1,500. The engine, believe it or not, was mostly stock and had gone without serious problems for years. However, it was starting to leak a lot and it had also begun to puke coolant as well. One afternoon, my starter cracked off the block so I had the truck towed to Diesel Pros. After speaking with Mike on the phone, I was convinced that these guys knew the 6.0's inside and out. I gave them the ok to pull the engine, replace all the gaskets, machine it, and put in new bearings and rings in addition to new studs, oil cooler, coolant, etc. Mike, Matt, and Jeremy were incredibly helpful, honest, and professional with their work. each phone call always ended with an invitation to come to the shop to see the motor work being done - twice I showed up at the shop and they walked me into the back and let me talk to the tech working on my motor! It's rare that a shop will do that these days. My truck had some aftermarket equipment installed that had to be removed to get the engine out. The guys, to my surprise, got everything all hooked back up. They even used quick connectors so that if the parts have to come apart in the future, they wont have to cut anything. Unfortunately, someone somehow broke my SCT EGT probe during the rebuild (even though they didn't remove it, maybe it was bumped or something). I spoke to Mike on the phone and basically told him not to worry about it, I'd just source the part and install it. To my pleasant surprise, I got a call from Jeremy the next week that my egt kit had come in and to come pick it up. They had taken the initiative to order this part for me for no charge just to make sure I was 100% satisfied. The level of professionalism at this shop is overwhelming, and I certainly recommend anyone who, like me, is a stickler about their truck, to give them a call!

First I called them to ask if they work on humvees and they said yes. It's a Detroit Diesel so I figured the "diesel pros" would have it handled. I called them and told them I have to tow it there so if they can't work on it then let me know so I don't spend money on a tow to the shop. I dropped it off on a Monday. The following weekend was Labor Day weekend so i figured I would have atleast 5 days for them to check it out. Nope . I gave them time so I called them on Friday 4 days later to check and see how things were coming along. The guy answered and said the mechanic who he wants it to look over is out for Labor Day weekend. Okay dude, he couldn't have looked at it the other 4 days. Whatever The following week I called and they said it's ready to be picked up and they couldn't do anything with it. They won't fix it. First you make me waste a week after telling me at first you would work on fixing it. It gets better. So I pick it up. Upon picking it up I get charged a fee for looking over it. You didn't do anything why would I pay for it. Then they give the keys to the "special mechanic" who can work on any diesel. The guy goes to the back to get my Humvee and is sitting there for literally 3 minutes . I walk up to him and ask him why he hasn't started my Humvee and brought it up to the front. The guy goes I have never started one of these before how do I start it. You're supposed to be a special mechanic and yet you can't even start this car after your boss said you could work on it. As I'm driving out of the parking lot as the drift shaft turns I keep hearing thump thump thump. I pull over to find out they actually messed up my Humvee even worse then when u brought it in. They had the driveshaft hitting the fuel tank every rotation. I turn off the car . Metal against metal and fuel as it heats up could cause a fire or a spark and cause a fire. They put me in an almost possible death situation. I call yet another tow truck because it was unsafe to drive . It was not thumping before I brought it here. So another charge for another tow to an actual PRO SHOP that actually knows what they are doing. The shop it's at now actually is fixing it, told me all the parts they are ordering , sent videos of what the issues were and really took their time to help me. They showed me what diesel pros messed up. Not only would have this been resolved by just being honest and saying don't tow it there because they don't know how to actually work on humvees. They not only put my life in danger , they cost me money on two tows and even had the nerve to charge me for a diagnostic fee after breaking the humvee even worse, and whoever I talked to at the end seemed ignorant like he was the best in the business. Wrong this place is trash, a bunch of guys thinking they are the best yet screwing people over.
