We are here camping so we are not "put together" like we usually are. The woman proceeded to follow us to the other side of the store where the shoes are and straight watched us like we were going to steal something. Very disappointing to be treated that way. Will never go back.

I don't want to pick stars. I like that Kristine's continues to be a thoughtfully curated selection…read moreof clothing, shoes, and jewelry for women. They have shifted to more fast fashion for lower price point options as I am shifting to sustainable slow fashion which has made it harder for me to shop there but I still feel they bring in products that end up being in my core rotation. But after a couple of trips with a friend there who asked, 'why do you go back when they treat you like that? I realized it's never been a comfortable experience to shop there. I am not the picture of a customer I see them treat with esteem and care--I like clothes and fashion in general but seem to always end up being half my Florida beach roots in the end and am not polished or 'on point' in my look. My friend pointed out how women who were that look were treated compared to me. Twice. She was right and I had always felt that way there but I thought that wasn't really my problem and who cares? But it stuck in my craw and after a recent very poor experience with a sales person who I typically enjoy, I quit going. Maybe she had a bad day but it felt ugly. I decided to quit going because of the customer service and my own personal shift to buying fashion that is more sustainable and ethical.

People let me tell you 'bout my best friend…read more.. Best Friends in Murphy's is a fun consignment Womens boutique! They carry all sizes. Jeans, sweaters, T-shirts, jackets. Oh, my! So many items to choose from, many of which look like they are practically brand new. Fun accessories as well. The lady working in the store was not only super friendly and super sweet, she was extremely helpful, and is one of those women that you automatically just feel a kinship with. Many, if not all of the items, are identifiable, namebrand items, and the pricing is very clear and understandable. Price tags indicates the value price, and the price that the store is asking. Easy Peezy. This is a great stop to make, some amazing finds to be had, and absolutely worth checking out!

This shop is attempting to create an online presence through Instagram. However, my experience,…read morecompared to other thrift/vintage retailers, leaves considerable room for improvement. The owner doesn't post measurements, fabric content, or prices for the items that she's selling. Furthermore, when questions are asked, it's days later before a response, if at all . The other reviews mention disorganization and poor business practices, and I would have to agree. For instance, this shop does not know that sales tax is generated by the state the item is shipped to, when selling online. All in all, I think that there are much better options for your dollar when shopping vintage clothing.

I ended up inside because a large part of my family/friends group decided to go inside. Also it was quite warm (uhhh, hot) in Murphys and there was the hope of a/c inside. Once inside, I felt I'd been transported into a different world and a different time. Technology was non-existent in this store in a right-now-today sense, yet it was all around me in a years-gone-by sense. I can't begin to explain the wide variety of machineries in Dea-Bathroom. Toilets, cow bells, heavy lifting pullies, classic gas street lamps, bottle openers, land plows, claw foot bathtubs (upstairs, yes look closely and there is an upstairs), and the list could go on and on. The store was so full of enthralled, browsing patrons that I kept finding myself saying "oops sorry, oh excuse me" (in a polite tactful we're-all-enjoying-this-place way, not a "ugh, MOVE" way). We spent a lot more time than I ever expected and ended up browsing the entire place (unless they had a hidden, super cool area that no one knows about). The staff there were very kind and answered with friendliness any questions one could come up with. Because I never could have possibly imagined myself being interested in a store such as this, having such an interesting time inside made all the more impact on me (such that within seconds of entering, I wasn't even thinking about a/c). And for that, BAM - 5 stars.
