She is really customer service oriented and goes the "extra mile" to make sure customers are taken care of, literally! She is a great sales person and so without hesitation, I bought 3 pairs of these pants. I now realize I should have gotten MORE!!! Recently, I have searched high and low for more of these (sold out,) pants locally and even on the Internet, but decided to continue to support the small business Shirt Tales instead. I was hoping for more Capri pants which were out of stock. Instead, she offered to have her seamstress hem the longer pants to look like Capri's with the little side slit at the hem for a nominal fee. That is a person who goes all out to please her customers. Since I live 2 hours from the shop, I called and ordered them to be shipped. What was so adorable, was that the owner offered to meet me in a nearby city in the Bay Area to bring them to me since she is coming to visit a friend anyway. It really touched me how genuinely caring and sweet this owner is and how she is willing to go the EXTRA MILE. (Pun intended!) I am very glad to be a repeat customer and when I am in town I will always revisit her store. Meanwhile, ordering over the phone and having them shipped is WELL worth my time and money! I enjoy visiting museums, art galleries and art studios. I am in awe when I view many of the amazing works created by the artists. Thankfully, Murphys has its share of art galleries where one can go to appreciate a variety of creations. The newest one to open is Independent. The store is a working studio for the owner. It is also a retail location where customers can purchase paintings, woodwork, children's clothing, soy candles, ceramics and glass work. Most of the art is produced locally. Independent also carries art supplies so you can let your creativity flow. I feel it is so important to support our creative artists. They create beautiful pieces of art in so many forms for us to enjoy. So, if you ever have one of those days when you can't think of anything to do, go visit an art gallery and support the artists. For instance, this shop does not know that sales tax is generated by the state the item is shipped to, when selling online. All in all, I think that there are much better options for your dollar when shopping vintage clothing.
