Macy's sends out 48 hour sales circular. Commercials advertising 48 hour sale. All day Friday and Saturday. March 15 & 16. Get there Friday morning. Small appliances. I'm here all the time...what can I say? I'm a shopping addict and I love this store. The best time to come is late in the evening around 8pm...there's hardly anyone shopping. The store itself is pretty organized and the fitting rooms are always available. Some of the staff who works here is really nice ...most I would say. Wow! If I lived in Staten Island I'd be at this Macy's on a regular basis! This location wasn't crowded at all, and the layout is pretty open. It doesn't feel as cramped as the one in Herald Square. On top of that, the customer service was pretty good; they were actually friendly, which is a refreshing change from the ones in midtown who for some reason, all seem to have attitudes. read more

I'm writing this review because today I wanted to shop in macys. I love the sales and coupons, and products too. I usually shop for clothes in the womens section and they usually have a great variety. Today, as soon as I walked in, it was very hot in the store, very uncomfortable for customers to shop around. I just wanted to,get myself out of there. On my way out I stopped to ask a shoe salesperson if they have any coupons for shoes or discounts and they said only with a macys card. You should offer better coupons for people who don't want to use a card. I will no longer be shopping here if they don't make it cooler for shoppers in the store. I used to work at a different Macy's and the running joke was that we weren't the Macy's in the Staten Island Mall. I'm not sure why because Kings Plaza was no great shakes either, but even before this Macy's always got on my nerves. I can always find something here to wear or to gift. I think they have great selections. They are always updating their areas and the sales are great! I love using the coupons & you can always find a steal. The store itself tends to be hotter than other stores, so leave your jacket in the car. The fitting rooms are messy and sections, like women's shoes, can get messy and chaotic as well. There are plenty of registers for checkout and price checkers all around. Some don't always work, so you may have to check on more than one. Is, was and always will be my favorite department store! read more

I Love all Macy's, this specific one is okay just like any other Macy's when you walk past the fragrance section it's like everyone bum rushing you to smell or buy a fragrance it's ridiculous. Macy's in general is my favorite department store. I've been to ones all over NJ and NYC. However, this specific location seems to be my favorite. It seems that I can always find what I'm looking for here. There's always great sales. Everything is organized and easy to find. The sales tax is a downside, but it's worth it because of the great discounts and items that aren't in stock at other locations. read more

Went here the other day to shop with a friend for some summer clothes for an upcoming trip. I thought it would be better to go to Macys in Newport (NJ) to avoid the sales tax but my friend said the selection at the SI Macys was way better. We'll she was right. Tons of stuff on sale in the women's dept. including my favorite brand Inc. Found a whole bunch of stuff & my friend got 4 pairs of pants for $125! The cashier who rang me up (Iris) was wonderful - friendly, helpful & even gave me a coupon for 20% off. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because there was no one manning the dressing rooms at all & no staff to help you get another size or color. They need to get more staff if they want shoppers to buy more! read more

I am extremely disappointed by the service from Macy's Furniture department store and Macy's customer service. Without getting into the specifics, the lack of care, service, attention to detail and competency that Macy's has shown will prevent me from ever doing business with them again. The icing on the cake was when I expressed my deep frustration to customer service, they told me they would send a $25 gift card on a $1,000 purchase, and not once provided me with any concrete resolutions. Its a shame that Macy's has NO care whatsoever for their customer satisfaction, I will definitely take my business elsewhere on all future purchases. read more

So I arrive for my appointment and it seemed like I was the only one there , was hand full of artists "makeup" artists available it seems . I was notice only when i was half way into the store . I then told the lady I had an appointment. She told me to sit on the first seat and have someone I like to do my makeup....ummm I just wanted to add I never done this before and this was my first time . I knew no one , which I did tell the lady who approached me . But she ignored me and told me to sit and tell someone I like to do my makeup. So all I did was sat down and waited for someone. She then went on with her business. It just seem like no one wanted to do my makeup . Well then the lady that approach me had to go to one of the artists to take me. The women she choose did not want to do it but walk towards me anyway. She was nice but seem like she was not into it. I did like the style she gave me but for 60 dollars she did not teach me anything ....I always love Mac makeup but this experience turn me off ....why do makeup artist tend to make you feel like crap? Not a fan of this place! It's always a huge line, only one cashier and a lot of employees walking around doing nothing instead of opening an another register. STAY AWAY!! from this Macys at the Staten Island Mall. They are absolutely horrible. There are barely any workers to help you find a shoe or ring you up at the register. They all hide out in the back. It takes about a half hour just to find someone and ask for a shoe. Then they either never have the shoe in your size or always bring the wrong one out. When you finally find something that they have in stock in your size & they finally bring out the right shoe, you find that there's only one shoe in the box. They say the other shoe is a floor model, but they expect you to find it. When you can't locate it, they "search" and can't find it either. (There's a 10% chance you'll find the dirty floor model that dozens of people tried on, stretched out, & stained, but they expect you to still pay full price.) This literally happened so many times that I just go into the city now. It's faster to go to Manhattan, find a few pairs of shoes, and get back to Staten Island than to search this unorganized store. Very messy, DIRTY, and unprofessional people working here. The manager is barely there (only met her once), but of course she's no help either. I never met a bunch of grown women who can't simply organize shoes. And then they want to increase minimum wage for these workers... read more

I was shopping at Macy's about two day's ago for a Cologne so I'm ready to pay and I asked the young lady if they give veterans discounts and to my surprise they said they don't I said wow that's a shame a company as big as this does not give a veterans discount I got a bit upset and went on to pay for my item and I asked the young lady where the main office was she told and I went there to speak to someone in charge and when I did finally spoke to a supervisor she seemed not interested and did not care about what i had to say. So I say this just about every Store small and big that I go to all give a veterans discount and they are always respectful and even if they don't give one they always take a 10% to 15% just to be respectful. What bothered me was the the disrespect the supervisor gave like to bad we don't give those type of discount I personally will never shop at Macy's again. I encourage people not to either if that the type of disrespect they show people who served jthis country. read more

The employees are not very helpful. Wanted to know about a eyeliner and some face makeup but the girl that helped me gave me 1 minute of her time and then just walked away to admire her self.
