#13/2025 This Macy's in Orland Park is still a decent one for the most part. I came in with only one thing I needed to do I want to look at some dress shoes. I went to the men's section for the dress shoes I was looking at the rockports because I've worn rockports for quite a while and they didn't have my size in stock. I wanted to slip on style loafer for I didn't want to lace up shoe. I wasn't worried about the price. Rockports for about 120 bucks. But the nice sales lady guided me to this company from Denmark which I never heard of they've been around for a while I did a quick Google of them they were pretty quality company they're about $50 a pair of more $170 bucks each Ecco But I did notice the craftsmanship the leather is definitely a lot thicker and a better quality I was quite impressed. She brought out a size that she thought would be good for me after measuring my foot and said even though they didn't have a wide I didn't really need it I just buy it for comfort. But I tried these on and holy cow they were great. So I wore for about 15-20 minutes wandering around the area. The only difference was I had White Sox on I won't have those on with those I'll have on more darker dress socks. But I was very very impressed I hadn't bought a new pair of dress shoes and over 15 years at least. But I decided credit card was paid off for Macy's so I bought two pairs LOL. Compulsive impulse buying no willpower yeah that's me. So I bought a pair of black and brown. Hopefully they're going to last for quite a few years the quality seems really good I was very impressed. It's beginning to look like Christmas; so many holiday decorations, trees, ornaments and Santas. Gift boxes and holiday sets. My husband was searching for a new sent and was given a history lesson on the new YSL. Look at the box, it's called myself. M- for male. YSL-in the middle. F- for female on the end. Pretty clever. It was also explained that most designer fragrances will be going unisex. Don't worry, it will smell nice. It goes according to your body chemistry. At this Macy location, the store is often chaotic, short-staffed, with impatient customers and long lines at the return/pickup register even before the holiday season. While the Christmas season comes to an end, shopping is not what it used to be for me. Instead of looking for great deals, I find myself bobbing and weaving from the guest that is not respecting my personal space or wearing a face mask. I just left Macy's in Orlando park. I got followed by security who stayed behind me as I was shopping in the jewelry section. I mean he was right behind me even other shoppers noticed it. I was just at Orland looking for Levi's jeans for my husband. There were two young ladies at the registers in Mens. I asked where could I found the new 287 jeans. The lady on the left pointed and said these are Levi's. Neither one stepped out of the quad to assist. Obviously, neither has customer service qualities. They stood talking about their business not the job they were hired for. They were not young teenagers but lazy and unconcerned. I didn't exit before noticing the manager(Deana) of the situation. I'm trying to find a job and I did apply to Macy's. I'm a retired employee of retail. They never greeted us nor exited the quad to assist in any kind of way. I was quite disappointed and surprised. My review pertains to Macy's online although I hear the Macy's store in Orland is pathetic. I had ordered pants and shirts for my husband for an event. He tried them on and they were ill fitting. I ordered a second set which were equally ill fitting. I went to return the items and found there is only a 30 day return policy. I'm sure Macy's used to be 6 months. Macy is fully stocked with every cologne you are looking for. Customer service is great at all the counter this evening. The store is well organized there is not merchandise out of place, everything is easy to find. So much help around Macy's I think I will make this store my store to complete my Christmas shopping. Definitely 0 stars if I could. This has been the worst experience ever in a store, employees and managers are horrible with their customer service. Since this store just opened since COVID crisis they just have one register open in each floor on weekends having 20+ people in a line. How is this contributing social distancing? I was visiting a friend nearby. I stopped in to exchange and return something at the Clarins cosmetic counter. I was lucky enough to have Laurie Nichola assist me. She did an amazing job of listening to my concerns and providing alternatives. I wound up keeping one of the products and exchanging the other. Having previous experience working with Lancôme at another Macy's location, I thanked her for her professionalism and concerned. I had planned on writing a great review on her based on our interaction. A few hours later I realized I had left my wallet at the counter. Laurie waited for me to return before the end of her shift. When I had not returned as I hadn't realized I had left it, she brought my wallet to the HR office. With the money and credit cards all intact. Too many racks jammed with too much merchandise. The accessories are usually disorganized. The ladies lingerie department is quite matronly. Their items for Woman's like me is all very good and I love how organized they are about every thing, the mall is quite wide and is very sufficient. Was told by two supervisors Patricia Gladney(Pat) and Samar Aboshareef that the online prices were different than the store and they could not honor a macys.com price. Ridiculous comment as I have been a macy's customer since they came to Chicago and have purchased many items online and picked up in the store. Called their corporate office and filed a complaint. Representative from their executive office apologized for their supervisors incompetence and sent me the product I wanted for free. This is a review of their "order online, pick up in store" process. Picking up the clothes I ordered online was easy and painless. My order was ready for pick up within 2 hours. My complaint is how they charged me. When paying online I tried to use my credit card on file. It was expired and I never updated it so I had to use another form of payment. I used PayPal (linked to another card) to complete the transaction. I check my bank statement the next day and I see that I have 2 duplicate pending charges on my "expired" credit card and my PayPal charge which cleared. All 3 charges for the same amount. I call customer service and they inform me that this is common practice and the extra charges will fall off when I pick up my item. I reiterate to them-So it's common practice to charge another form of payment and essentially double bill? "Yes, but the other charges will disappear." Very shady business practice especially for a $60 bill. And I am still waiting for the charges to disappear. read more

The Orland park location had phenomenal customer service!! I came in for a very specific pair of jeans that were not on the sales floor. The lady at the register looked my item up and the computer said they had three pairs. Liz & Karen with the white hair took the time to find my jeans in the back of the store! I love this Macy's. Its unfortunate that we can't come to Macy's all the time but the distance of course is a factor. This particular store is really nice, and very well organized. I see it as one of the few stores that stays well maintained and cleaned and the workers here are really on point. You see, I am a natural observer. I mean, I watch not only for sales but of course I watch the employees to see if they take their jobs seriously. For the most part they do, and this is something I most whole heartedly appreciate, due to being a consumer who believes that if you take care of your store, you will bring in a better customer. Yes, I know I could probably go to another Macy's, but here it seems to make sense and the sales are really great. Also the fact that at times I don't have a coupon but the cashiers are more then willing to share on with me. I do like this and although it may seem like cheating, I think that it keeps bringing me back whenever I need a better quality item. The mall here is nice, but for the most part Macy's is what keeps me coming back over and over and I totally appreciate the way they take care in handling the common shopper and making them feel really good. I also love the fact that at the men's perfume counter, if I ask for samples after a purchase, I usually get quite a few and this once again is a good ploy because next time I visit, I usually always buy the sample perfumes and buy them full size. Smart move Macy's touché'. Also I do enjoy that the parking is ample and that I rarely have to park at the end of parking lot due to excessive cars. This is a good thing and I can say that more often times than not, I don't visit spots were its a constant fight to find a safe parking space. So remember, if you are in the area, check them out and of course go through their clearance section as many times they mark down items for almost 70% off the retail price and if its yellow tag believe me you will get an addition 10% to 50% off more on top of the 70 already discounted. I have left there with name brands for less than $50! Now that is a steal in a legal way of course, try them out and just let them know that you appreciate the service, through YELP of in person after all, there is always something good to get from a positive reinforced comment. read more
