Customer service in this store is non existent. Clerks dont know the merchandise, they appear irritated when you ask them questions, and you have to search for someone when you need help. I used to really like shopping in Macy's. Now, I'll shop elsewhere. read more

This review is for the jewelry department. Attention complacent, rude ladies: drop the attitude, this isn't Tiffany. I went to this location to have my blue topaz ring re-sized. I was initially looped in to the "extended warranty" which means lifetime cleaning and resizing. It was a minimal fee and the sales lady made it sounds so good that I couldn't resist. The warranty also covers any issues with the ring itself; diamond band, prongs and even the oversized gemstone. Macy's isnt normally a place I shop for jewelry at but no one sells custom blue topaz or aquamarine estate rings like Macys. That being said, the jewelry department is worthless. I was standing at the jewelry counter for 30 minutes and it took 15 of those minutes to get one person behind a counter full of women to acknowledge me. There were 2 women working with one guy looking at diamond heart necklaces. Both women looked experienced so it wasn't a training day as one woman was literally going through her split ends on her hair but yet I was ignored. One of the women walked away and I followed her down the counter trying to get her attention. I finally got her to acknowledge me and she acted bothered. I handed her my red box and told her I needed to resize my ring. She took the ring from the box, dropping it on the ground, only to put it in her pocket and walk away. I literally chased her to the other counter asking what she was doing. She didn't say a word as she took out a long stick looking thing to check the size of my ring. She then proceeded to walk away from me again, going back to the first counter I was at. At this point, she dropped my ring again. For those who don't know, most gemstones are a soft stone and with every drop on the hard tile floor I cringed. She finally looked at me and said "this ring only in 7, you have 8, you got return ring now you size." I type this in broken English not because I am being hateful, as she was an Asian woman, but because this was the *stellar* customer service I was receiving. I assured her the ring came in several sizes but she was not listening. I asked her for a ring guide to see what size I needed to go to and she coughed, with her mouth open, and asked me what that was. At this point, I was reaching about a 9 in bitch mode and I had just about had enough. She kept telling me to return the ring to get the bigger size, not using my purchased warranty and if I did, it would count as a new purchase and I'd get a free necklace. I told her I didn't care about the necklace and I wanted my ring not another one. She looked at me confused, dropping my ring on the floor again. As she was digging in her pocket, dropping all kinds of random tools and chapstick I asked her for my ring back. She told me no. Well, ladies and gentleman, we were now at a 10 on the bitch scale! I grabbed the ring from her hand, demanded my receipt and box and I stormed out. I REFUSE to go back to this Macy's to get anything done on my ring. I dropped the ring off this morning at my local jewelry store to be resized and will happily pay their fee. I will be fighting Macys bootleg warranty and demanding a refund. Never again. read more

Well this isn't so much about Macy's itself but Macy's MAC cosmetics counter....I went in with a friend a few days ago who has never really worn makeup to get a few things for her. and well... allot for myself..lol.. I'm a mac Junkie!! And came across one of their WONDERFUL sales people!! ( trust me compared to the Cumberland Mall Mac counter...do not go to that one unless you want to wait 30 min for someone to notice you and finally help you out) I believe her name was Shannon.. *looking for her card...* she was great!!! very helpful with color combinations of all skin tones, helping out a newbie to the addiction that is MAC, and just all around fun!! Wow, watch your wallet in this store. And Im not talking prices! Just visited the intimate apparel department in Macy's and used a exchange gift card I received the last time I was in and did really good keeping my spending all under my prior gift card amount and I guess Erika (cashier) thought it was Ok to keep my $1.05 remaining balance and tell me my card wasn't reusable AND then tell me it was only $.25 remaining until I let her know I could read my receipt. I have to say I was not impressed with the customer service representative in the woman's department. I was waiting for my wife as she shopped and tried on clothes. First the sales lady was apologizing to a customer for making them wait by complaining to the customer about how the previous customer made her slow because she used coupons. I don't think the lady at the counter really cared why you made her wait. Just apologize and don't blame others. Then she told another sales associate if the phone is ringing, but you are busy just let it ring because no one does not know that you are not away from the counter. That is her take on how to do things, but in a service business where I could get your product on line don't let the customers think that severing them is a bother. read more

If you are trying to return an item and you have the original receipt, they will not give you cash even though it is clearly stated on the back of the receipt. When I talked to the manager Joyce from the perfume department, and read her the back of the receipt, she still refused to refund me cash. The ladies at the Dolce were very pleasant. But for the manager that said No. I'm calling corporate. read more

There is one star by Macy's name for a reason ! This is the level of customer service that you get ! I ordered a bed room and was to be delivered on Saturday and sat home all day waiting on it ! No furniture ! I call them and they said it was pulled off the truck for an unknown reason. I went into the store and received horrible customer service. No one can tell me when my furniture will be delivered. Not a happy customer ! I will not shop with Macys again ! read more

I am always happy when visiting Macy's in town center. I often wonder why people get so upset for the craziest things and bad mouth great places over little events. We are so blessed in this nation. So many people in the world won't ever walk through a place like this store. Be happy enjoy the holiday season. Don't let the little things cause you to bad mouth people working hard to take care of you while earning money for families and doing good things even when they fall short during a very busy time of the year. I placed my order for four items to pickup. According to their site all were available. I received an email stating my order was ready. I finally found an associate to tell me where to pick up my order. I stood in line 15 minutes to start. During that time I received an email telling me that two of my items weren't available and they would ship them to me. I get up to the register and show the associate my phone with the bar code. He asked me for my name. I gave it to him and we stood there 15 minutes longer so he could find someone to help him. He asked the other associate where he could find my order. So they left and were gone another 15 minutes and came back because they could not find it. A manager was then called and showed up 10 minutes later. She had the associate to find another associate to find my order. 10 minutes later I have my order. Associate went on to process my two items. 20 minutes later and he and another associate tried to get it processed. So another manager came and said why didn't they pull the entire order. They could not complete it without everything being there. 20 minutes later and still nothing. Since they apparently couldn't do their job, I went and found the two items, underwear, and brought them to the register. So they now have everything I ordered in front of them. But when I came back from doing their job, there was no one to help me. I stood there another 15 minutes while another associate cashed them out. I finally pointed to my items on the counter and told them to put them back and that there better not be any charges on my account. I called Macy's customer service to advise I didn't get my order. They didn't care and told me to call the store directly. I did that also. No one answered my call and it would eventually take me back to the queue. In all, I drove 1 hour to the store, spent 2 hours waiting, and 2 hours on the phone on my drive home. I have never been so angry and not even one single person was willing to help. I mean, I pulled my own order because they couldn't find the underwear. I will never step foot in a Macy's. read more

They never seem to have anything I'm looking for and they need a new "buyer" as their clothes, shoes, etc., look like something my mother would buy. Customer service could be better - even if you could find someone, even the counters and dressing rooms are impossible to find. read more

I went to this store looking for a new watch and had the absolute best service from the salesperson in the watch department that I have ever had from any store that I have ever visited. The lady who helped me was named Stacy and she not only helped me for over an hour, she also told me about the Friends & Family event that was coming up soon and watches would be included in the sale. She was so nice and then she also sized my new watch in a matter of minutes so that I could wear it that day. I referred a friend who was looking for a new watch and told him to ask for her, which he did just recently, and to my surprise, she is no longer there. Bummer. She was really great and made me a fan of Macy's. read more

I like some of Macy's clothing brands. I have shopped at Macy's for decades. They have closed over 500 stores. For a long while, I have noticed how liberal they have become. I am very disappointed. They tried to make changes in music, etc, but I don't know why they tried to fix something that wasn't broken. Someone gave them bad advice. read more

This is strictly a review on their customer service. I needed to return a dress I bought online and decided to do it at the store since I had the option. I unknowingly tried to return it at the Men's and Furniture store. (Either I failed to see it or it didn't say so from outside the mall in their parking lot) But the guys working were really nice and joked around with me when I tried to return a summer dress, haha. However, it was a completely different story when I went to the "correct" Macy's. As I approached the counter, the much older sales associate had her arms crossed with a bad look on her face. I got no smile or even a greeting. I politely told her that I needed to return a purchase that I made online. And as I pulled it out of the bag she said "well what is it?" I laid it out on the counter handed her the receipt and she proceeded to handle the transaction. After she was done she simply handed me my receipt back and said my account would be credited. Ok, great thanks! After spending some time at the mall we came back to browse at the Men's and Furniture store before leaving because it was on our way out. My daughter needed to use the restroom so we headed up to the top floor where they were. I saw 3 sales associates in the furniture floor standing around and talking among themselves. I asked them where the bathroom was. Imagine my embarrassment when nobody even turned around to acknowledge me! It was an approaching salesperson who actually answered me! How unbelievably freakin rude! Nowadays older people like to comment on how younger generations have no manners, talk about it being switched this time around. read more

Terrible customer service at the MAC counter. I went on a sunday evening to grab 2 things. It was fairly busy so i figured that was the reason NO ONE even acknowledged me. I decided to get a few other things and needed some help, ....of course no one to help me. So i headed up to the counter with the items i needed. stood there for a few minutes, nothing. 2 young ladies then came behind the counter, one came from the back and was obviously clocking out for break, the other decided to chit chat with her about what she was going to do on her break etc etc....all the while i'm still standing there, no acknowledgement still. one young lady remains behind the counter just piddling, literally watched her re-position the tape dispenser a few times, finally i say "umm, can you help me?" she then responds "oh, have you not been helped yet?".... i buy 3 items, powder, lipstick (that i randomly chose since i had no help) and a lip liner that i also randomly chose since there was no help. The next morning at home i finally decided to really look at what i bought, i open the lip liner to swatch it on my hand and half of the color broke off from inside the pencil and fell out. Right away i grab my receipt, lip liner and package and head back to the store. I get to the counter and the lady comes up, i say i have a return, with my lipliner and receipt wrapped around the package on the counter, she says "do you have your receipt"....no hi, hello, how are you.... then she proceeds to open the package,.. seeing the lip pencil almost hallow she looks at me puzzled, and i then begin to tell her what happened, she then proceeds to say "well sharpen it" I'm shocked at her response, i explain "i just bought this last night and haven't even used it, half of the product is broken, i'm not going to keep a 20$ lip liner that broke half way off and just sharpen it." she then proceeds to tell me how to sharpen a lip liner pencil. I tell her "i know how to use/care for lip liner and makeup and dont need a tutorial, i just want my credit back" she rudely says...."ok, ok" does the return and walks away. wow, just wow. what happened to customer service? read more

I just left the Macy's at Town Center Mall in Kennesaw, GA and I can honestly say that Maggie, the manager of the furniture department, could have cared less whether or not she had my business. Her attitude and demeanor were negative and not at all befitting a company that does a billion dollars a year in business. She was rude and derogatory. I went in to purchase a daybed and nightstand totaling $500 and was told there would be a $200 delivery fee. $99 to deliver a nightstand that costs $219.00 and $86 to deliver the daybed that cost $279.00. Since the daybed came from the mattress department and the nightstand came from the furniture department there would a separate delivery fee from each department and I could NOT take the pieces home with me even though I had brought my truck. I asked to speak to the manager. Maggie was introduced and very impolitely told me that that was policy, take it or leave it. So I left it. I don't think I have ever seen anyone in management care so little about a customeror treat a customer with such disdain and condescending attitude in my life. I think it's pretty obvious to anyone that a $200 delivery fee for $500 worth of furniture is ludicrous. Macy's has gotten too big for their britches. They won't be big for long though with managers like Maggie. read more
