I was at this Macy's just days before Christmas and I found a parking spot without delay. #goodparkingkarma. In addition, the lines were not and the staff was Parnell I've had a pretty good experiences here both at the MAC counter, perfume counter and the show department. However, my daughter had a bit of a different experience. She purchased some rater expensive perfume and the sales associate was rude to her. Didn't hand her her merchandise or give her the free gift with purchase. Got luggage? You can find the luggage department on the 2nd floor and get this they have a dedicated "Luggage Specialist" to help you out with your questions. The fiance and I were looking for the best man and groomsmen gift for the wedding. We first went to Del Amo Macy's but they had little selection. The saleswoman there directed us to this location where she gave us a list of their G-Shock inventory and literally they had like 10 of everything. Roger was incredibly patient and helpful with my fiance and I searching for the perfect watches. Alice, the manager stopped by and assisted as well and she was SO sweet and helpful! I love Macy's outwardly. The store is mapped out wonderfuly to make people think they are having a really rich shopping experience. Some of the clothes they carry are well tailored and reasonable in price. However, the people Macy hires to man the registers leaves alot to be desired. I went to one Cashier, she told me she was a new hire and did not know how to do returns. She pointed me to another register. I asked him what was so special about this customer and all he can come up with was "he was already in line" when I was clearly in front of the line and this customer just popped up out of no where. There are a total of three people working there and half of the time they are somewhere in the back and nowhere to be found. I like this Macy's because it is close to home, clean and accessible. however they do not have a fitting room upstairs. after shopping upstairs in macys woman, men, children, lingerie and or last act you have to come downstairs with your handful of items to the fitting room. Went to Macy's Clinique counter... first off it was a mad house no rime or reason to helping the guests. The young lady helping me was chomping on her gum which is extremely unprofessional. They were out of some of the things I wanted. When I went to pay I wanted to log my Plenti points she didn't. It appears that she does not work that area very much. I had to every time I wanted questions answered I had to hunt her down. One time she was gabbing with a coworker. I get having fun but the job needs to get done first! I went to the Selena MAC launch makeup. I was in line for over 2 long hours. The supervisor from Macy's comes out to let us know it's not going to be a long wait. As they let us know as we continue being in line what products are sold out. During my time on long line. Supervisors return with water for everyone in line. They made sure everyone was well hydrated and also updated on the Selena MAC products. This store has very poor customer service, i waited to be assisted on the phone for 23 min then got hung up on called back got put on hold again the operator almost blew my ear off when i asked to be transfered to ex 543 then got put on hold again for 15 min no one came back kn phone called back to speak to a manager and they hung up after 2 min on hold. All i needed was a dress on hold till 4pm but i guess ill do my shopping else where. read more

I like our tiny local Downey Macy's, even if it is super small and always crowded. -good selection of everything. Just enough in all departments to find what you need without going out of your way to another larger Macy's store. -friendly staff. The last time we were here two very sweet girls in the kid's department named Kathy & Karina helped us. We had multiple transactions and some of the items we wanted had to be shipped and they went above and beyond and were SO nice and knowledgable and patient and kind. -love that they mail items for free to your home of they are out of stock in store. -always sales and always good prices. -most items are above average quality for the price. -late hours often times during sales make it convenient to shop on my time. My only two gripes are parking usually stinks and the make up girls aren't always nice. The Lancôme counter, especially, stunk on my last visit. Between all new people who didn't know anything and were unfriendly and slower than molasses to not wanting to honor the gift set requirements, I just wasn't happy with that service, but everything else was good...so four stars. read more

I am very disappointed with Macy's. I bought a pair of shoes in March (before the outburst of covid19) with the amount of $26.86. Due to unforeseen reason and with the covid pandemic, I was able to pay today, May 26. I requested them if they can waive the late fee which is the EXACT amount of the shoes that I bought --- much to my surprise --- they declined my request, so I paid the total of $57.72 instead of $26.86. I really hope that stores like Macy's will have a heart to listen to the appeals of their customers especially in this situation. Jessica in the Macy's HOME department was a total b today, now I know when you return something they don't open every single package but she did. This is after she asked me if I had sealed the boxes back up myself (when Macy's sent them like that) and I told her no, they came that way. I let her open the two boxes of pots fk it .. but when she preceded to tell another worker there about how people return stuff and take things out .. now she was insulting me because she she was doing it right in front of my face. I let her proceed to do whatever it is she was doing and as she did my transaction separately because she was going to claim it damaged according to her. I grabbed the box looked in it myself and showed the other lady that the rack WAS in there. By then then this b had insulted me to the max already, so I was fuming. When she gave me the refund I asked for her name and I'm not done, taking this all the way up because she can't do this to other people. I insulted her on the way out which is out of my norm but I've never had anybody disrespect me to that degree and I allow it. She in sarcastic way told me how I was my foul language was horrible in front of my 7 year old daughter, well my daughter has never heard her mom say a bad word till today mam. Some people just bring out the b's in you, I walked in there nice and in a good mood and she was just unhappy to be working after New Year's Day I guess. This is merely a comment to the the Yelp users on how to give a proper review of a business. The customer service, product selection and in store atmosphere can most definitely be reviewed for a specific location and is always helpful in improving the shopping experience. However, to rate a specific companies location on the poor parking is not fair. Parking lots and their size are established by the mall property owner and complaints should be taken with them. Having to wait in a long line. Yes, this is not fun, but it is not always the fault of the individual store or the attendant at the register. Sometimes, guests cause the back up by abusing situations such as demanding the cashier separate their items into 20 different transactions to use multiple coupons. Or the customer has presented a difficult situation such as a return with no receipt, tickets and such, which then requires special attention and time. Or maybe it's just a darn good sale, every register is running, and it's just busy. Ever been to Costco on Saturday? There are mega lines and I'm sure no complaints are made. Even store environment is not always the fault of the store location. If customers would learn to have a bit more respect for the store, and it's goods, the employees could maintain it better and faster. But when people eat their lunch in a fitting room, and then sometimes use that same fitting room as a bathroom, pull clothes off the hangers and leave them on the floor, or let their children run wild knocking things over etc. it makes it very hard to keep a store clean. As for the amount of staffing, well to blame the stores management is unfair as well. As an in store manager, I'm sure they would love to hire many more people however they are held to budgets and standards just as most companies are. They also cannot control if an associate calls in sick. Life happens. A specific company and a specific location can only control the controllable. They strive to provide the best training and best experience for its customers. Feedback on service and expectations is always welcome but just remember that sometimes what you are complaining about is not 100% the fault of the business. Thank you for listening. read more

On 12/13/2015 at 6:30pm I took my whole family Christmas shopping and my brother wanted a body spray so we went to the second floor.. My brother who's 25 years old and has disabilities which you can see decided to ask this guy who was at the 2nd floor wearing black dressing pants and light blue dressing shirt! Latino! Hello excuse me how much is this body spray? He said I don't know and walk away and keep keep giving away samples of the perfume that he had to sell! I was very upset!!! My brother just look down. I hate it when they discriminate against people with disabilities!! Don't ever look down on people if your not going to help them up!! I got so furious that's my little brother regardless if he was or not how can you treat and make someone feel like they nothing!! I started saying so saying out loud that I wanted to report him I know he heard everything that my mom and myself where saying I ask a employee that was also in the men's department selling perfumes for he's name according to her she didn't know.. I was looking into getting a new mattress, I had already done my homework (somewhat) and knew what I wanted. I went online and even called their customer service number and asked several questions regarding a mattress they had on sale before heading over to the store. The rep over the phone was extremely helpful, but this review is not about her. I decided to go to a store and see the mattress personally, being that this location is the closes and they had the mattress on display, I swung by. I arrived a little pass 6pm, I wondered around the store for more than 20mins before I was even acknowledged. When I started asking questions about the mattress, the employee stated that she didn't know about mattresses and that the mattress specialist was running late and was going to arrive after 7:30pm. Being that I had some time to kill and was hungry, we decided to go have dinner. While at dinner I did receive a call from the specialist herself stating that she was at the store if we wanted to swing by, which we did. Long story short, she wasn't much help. She really didn't know much about the mattress but she did recommend I hold off on purchasing since Veterans' Day sale was going to take effect within a couple of days. I did what she said, I went back to the store the following week and did see that the mattress went down $200.00, sweet!! but.... again, no specialist on the floor, the specialist had called in sick, therefore I didn't get any help. I then decided to just call in my order and ended up getting a better mattress than what I had in mind. Next time, I'll just go elsewhere. read more
