I noticed that the store appearance is not as upscale looking as others, more somewhat like a warehouse, but some of the same wines where a bit cheaper here than other wine stores, which is a bargain! After getting everything packed and in the cart he said "Have a good Day ! I reminded him that I had not paid as he was already starting on the next customer. Duhhh!! Staff are not well trained and there seems to be a turnover. Line ups at the till are often long and they don't call in another cashier. Most times sale items are not processed in the till so you have to always watch what is rung up. People in different departments do not know what is on sale in their own department, can't find where the sale stock is and usually there is none on the shelf or in the back. The manager here should be replaced for a starter. Very challenging to shop here and smacks of dishonesty.

The candy isle is really the best, and I can only imagine how fat I'd get if I worked here. Only annoyance with bulk food is when parents seem to play blind when their kids stick their grubby hands in the bins, but the store can't really control other people's kids, so this place still gets 5 stars from me.

I couldn't get my debit card to work and I was getting pretty embarrassed to say the least. This teller came over and without saying a word simply took her card out and payed for my groceries. Just like that! I did end up paying her back but it was so kind and completely unexpected and totally NOT part of her job. Another day I saw a lady having similar difficulties and a different cashier (not the same one that helped me last time) took her to customer service and when he realized that her card was just not going to work. Very discreetly I saw him behind the counter take his out his own card and rang up the groceries. The lady wasn't aware of this. She simply took the receipt and as she walked by the first cashier asked her if it all got sorted out. The lady simply smiled and said, "Yes, I don't know what he did but it went through!" And with that she went out the door! My husband always has great things to say about the butcher or the person behind the meat counter as he's always giving him the heads up of upcoming deals that are coming up and just making his trip to the store more enjoyable. I always shake my head when I hear people belittling the cashiers or other workers there as I know that they are all doing their best. They seem to care about their jobs and take pride in it and I think it shows. Most of the workers are always smiling or even dancing or singing and go out of their way to make things easier. I've seen a few cashiers are a little snobbish or look like they would rather be anywhere else but o don't see them back so I think they're doing a good job of getting the right kind of people working there! Just my two cents.
