They had good options, ranging from ribs, corn dogs, orange chicken, and taquitos, as well as different soups. Unlike everywhere else on Orcas Island, the food here was always a good price ans didn't feel like expensive, "island pricing". I understand many people come here to shop and I can say that the grocery prices seemed to be comparable to prices you'd find on the mainland at Fred Meyer. The staff was always nice and friendly and the store itself was clean, well kept and organized. Sitting right in the heart of Eastsound makes it quite convenient as well. I definitely appreciated the sitting area to eat my food from the hot bar in the front of the store. My only major gripe was though they had wifi, no employee over my months of visiting was ever able to recall what the password was to access it which I found quite annoying. Otherwise, its a good store with a good hot bar for a quick lunch!

Luckily, the Roche Harbor store is a handy dandy little spot that carries an impressive selection of everything from canned food to veggies to alcohol. Are the prices the same as you might find at a mainland supercenter? Heck no. But, if you're in need of provisions, this is one of the few easily accessible (by boat) spots in the islands to stock up and be on your merry way. The market is large and offers just about everything a grocery store could carry, including both indoor and outdoor machines for refills on spring water (a must on the island, particularly if you make your own coffee). Most impressive is the staff in the meat and fish department. They men and women working there always seem willing to answer questions about stock and are even happy to offer advice about preparing the day's fresh seafood. We've also been pleased with the entire staff. They're available and can point you to the right aisle when you're in a rush. The store can get busy, and when only a couple of checkout lines are open there's sometimes a good wait, but remember this is island time.

The store is owned by an extremely wealthy family on the island. But they still sell cigarettes to the public they make their profits off of people's addictions. I wish we'd known the grocery store was like 2 blocks away but this place got the job done and the employee was friendly. He said the place was open til 11 which seemed like a rarity in the Eastsound area so that is good info to have.
