Came in here on a whim while visiting from Vancouver. I really like it, great selection, very nice…read moreand helpful staff very attentive and willing to answer questions. Nice selections of all kind of spirits, wine from various regions, and craft beers (cold and on shelf). Pricing is in line with other stores, that I could tell - perhaps slightly more expensive than BC liquor, but not something that would prevent me from coming back.

When I approached this store I noticed multiple homeless people that were camped outside asking…read moreeveryone for change. I had been asked three times before I got into the store. As my hand reached for the door handle and went to open it, a gross sticky feeling, as I wrapped my fingers around the nasty bar. I open the door to a cloud of air smelling like decaying fish. The first few steps were awkward and disturbing, the whole staff was staring at me like I was someone who was going to steal. They followed me around the whole store. I said hello and they didn't say anything back they just glared and stared me down like I was a criminal. I decided to get a box of beer to get the hell out of hell. I dodged around the staff members in the tiny, skinny isles. To make it to the front desk. I say "hello" she snarls back with spiteful spit projectiles with a crude voice thundering behind it " ID" . I pass her my credentials. At the time I got my picture taken I had a beard but at this moment I was clean shavin. She looks up at me and said "do you think I'm dumb?" "With all do respect I just want my beer and to go." She twists her head in a jerking motion ninety degrees, silently conversing with the staff in the isles. She whips her head back at me, and we make fierce eye contact once more. I was sweating. She says with a voice that is almost a yell"No". "Pardon me" I retort. She says "you're an idiot to think that I'm going to sell you booze with a fake ID, get out of here before I call the police!" So like an sane person I grabbed my licence and got the hell out of hell.

I forgot to add a couple of items to my last order, so when I went to Victoria this week, I decided to visit the store to pick them up in person. I told her I had a service animal, and she seemed really interested. She was eager to see his picture. To which she responded by saying she would like to slaughter and eat him, "Yum yum." Not only shocking, but it is a violation of the Human Rights Act to threaten a service animal. That is like directly threatening me as a disabled person. It was surreal, and I am spreading the word about this clearly disturbed employee. I am considering filing a formal complaint.

Worst customer service experience I have ever had at a mechanic. Brought my car in on a Thursday…read moreand I was told I would be called on a Friday when it was ready. By 2 pm on Friday they hadn't called so I called them to ask if it would be done by 5; otherwise, I explained, I would have to make other arrangements. I was told the manager was in a meeting and that the manager said he would call me back in 30 minutes - 90 minutes later still no call. I called again and explained a second time I needed to know if I would have a vehicle by 5 or if I should make other arrangements. I was told the manager would call me back in 10 minutes. One hour later no call. By this point I have made alternate arrangements, however, I called to express my displeasure. The employee on the phone seemed apathetic to the fact I felt like my business didn't matter to them. The manager finally gets on the phone and tells me the car isn't worth fixing (I was gifted the car for free so I would have gladly paid the $2500 they said it needed). He tells me that he was never given any messages that I called (one of the two of them was obviously lying). Then he blamed the employee and the fact they are understaffed. I had no problem with the technical service and paid the $50 safety inspection they did, but will never recommend them or go back based on the level of customer service I was given. It was very evident to me that my business was of little importance to them so I will take my $2500 elsewhere.

=== 1. VERDICT/VALUE Come for the food - like any of it -…read moreready-made or for take-home! :) === 2. FOOD Quality Foods is essentially a rebranded Save On Foods done well: - Clean, bright lighting. - More upscale features for different departments. - Seemingly more specials on groceries. - Big departure: hot food service and seating areas. So not only do I get the impression I would save on groceries more often than at a regular Save On Foods (is it the presentation style or larger number of discounts?) but hot food section makes it feel worthwhile to get a decent bite to eat in these tougher economic times. The $7.99 breakfast combo beats anything the fast food joints can offer; the $9.99 burger combo is a delight: - Thick beef patty. - Lettuce, tomato, condiments of your choice. - Soft bun every time, topped with a slice of pickle. - Comes with fries or choice of two soups. It's tough to visit the fast food joints on the way when the options here are arguably healthier and perhaps better value! === 3. SERVICE In general, it's decent here, but be advised that the Asian hot food section seems to have some challenges with staffing or processes: it always seems like a single individual is working there perhaps not as efficiently as they could and so there's always a line up that doesn't move very fast, especially around lunch times. === 4. ENVIRONMENT It's a relatively (5-10 year old) establishment and so it's relatively clean and modern. Wheelchairs and baby strollers fit just fine everywhere. The shopping complex is relatively new also and offers plenty of parking.
