They removed all 4 wheels and said our brakes were good. They charged us for inspecting the brakes but were honest about the fact that our brakes were good. When we got home we brought the van to our regular mechanic. They confirmed what Fairfield mechanic had said and replaced the brake sensors which solved the problem. It was scary to have mechanical trouble while traveling and on a limited time schedule. They were kind and honest. We are so grateful that Fairfield auto helped us when we were far from home!

Ron (the manager), was so friendly and helpful from the second I pulled in. He asked me if I had my cars manual and when I gave it to him, he showed me that I only need an oil change every 13,000km (I was only at 5k!). He said that he wouldn't do an oil change for me because it wouldn't be honest taking my money right now. It would've been SO EASY for them to just change it and send me on my way and I wouldn't have been any the wiser. I really appreciate the honesty and he has, in one visit, made me a lifelong client (I'm new to the area). I then asked him about my car shuddering when I accelerate and we had a whole conversation about it and about doing a fuel injector flush (I think that's what it was called). Ended up going for that and watched SO MUCH BLACK GUNK come out of my tailpipe. Hoping that'll do the trick. Ron stood and chatted with me the whole time he was working - just a really pleasant dude. Otherwise, I would recommend another car wash place with brushes (if you're OK with that on your ride), as all Co-op locations use the same Laserwash touchless system that is mediocre in its results (and I've chosen the top-end Volcano wash every time). === 2. CAR WASH Good: - Only if you have very light grime on your car. - There are two high pressure sprayers at the entrance which you drive through that spray the lower body and wheels. - (Note: they are ineffective for grime on paneling, but they could be OK for the wheels - it's just that I've always used the brush and bucket outside the car wash first to scrub down the wheels.) - The moving head unit includes the dryer, so you don't have to "time" yourself when driving out the exit to get every second of drying time - you simply stay in your car for the entire wash and drive off when done. Thereafter, I visited two different competitors based on recommendations for car damage not caused by me and it was terrible service, uncaring attitudes and easily identified poor workmanship that I had to ask be redone twice. Back to Advance . . . .Second visit: cracked windshield replacement and same bumper fix and repaint to my current car this year. Windshield done well - they called me in to show trim options to approve alternates. The bumper paint wasn't colour matched, but they admitted it and gave me a decent discount. Third visit: Yes, same bumper paint repair needed, but this time there was improved attention to detail, colour match and finish. Near perfect. All in all, Advance folks were super at customer service, and timely with the repairs. They spent time with my questions and seemed to care about the repair results. Vehicle rentals were quickly arranged, with a pickup by Budget in short turnaround. Service that met my expectations. I don't want to be back, but if I need, I will return to Advance.

The job was done actually a few days earlier than I was quoted and ready on a Thursday.
