After diagnosing the issue, they told me that a piece of weatherstripping around the sunroof had come loose, allowing water to leak into the car. The moisture had begun corroding the wiring connection for the rear passenger light. Whenever that light flickered or went out, it caused a chain reaction that affected other features, including the auto wipers. The dealership's proposed solution was extreme: they recommended replacing the wiring harness and light assembly, installing new weatherstripping, and even putting in a brand-new headliner. Their estimate? Just over $6,000 before tax. Thankfully, I decided to get a second opinion and brought my SUV to Addison Body Shop and Glass. The owner, Mike, took a careful look and immediately reassured me that most of the dealership's recommendations were unnecessary. Instead of replacing parts, he reattached the weatherstripping, cleaned the light and its connections, and carefully treated the minor water stains on the headliner. By the time he was finished, everything was working perfectly--and the headliner looks spotless. The difference in cost was night and day. Addison charged me only a fraction of the dealership's quote, and the work was completed quickly and professionally. Mike was upfront, honest, and clearly more interested in fixing the actual problem than in padding the bill with unnecessary replacements. I left feeling relieved and extremely grateful. Addison Body Shop and Glass saved me thousands of dollars, restored my SUV to perfect condition, and proved that there are still shops out there that value honesty and quality workmanship. I ordered a replacement hood for my 2006 Lexus ES330 and was pleased with the experience. It took 11 days from the time I ordered it to when I received it, which I thought was very reasonable given that it had to be painted. The hood arrived with no damage and the color matches well. His prices are so good that for small work like scratched bumpers and fenders it does not make sense to go to insurance and pay $500 - $1000 deductible. The best part is that he can match any paint color. So he find the part on excellent price, or fix your bumpers, then he can match your car color and installs it for 1/3 of what a body shop would charge you! Just amazing! March 19, 2026. Thursday…read more I would heed all the warnings and one star reviews for this business. Dealing with Chicago Auto Body Parts has been a complete and total nightmare. I ordered a 2012 Toyota Camry hood and driver's side headlight for $819.46, for some minor maintenance. It is now Friday, April 24, 26 business days later, and these parts have still not been delivered. That's five weeks I have waited so far. On their website, it says, "shipping estimate for painted parts: 7 - 10 business days". On Tuesday, April 14, I received an email from them that stated, "The order is estimated to ship in the next week and a half. Our paint department is experiencing a delay due to high order volume. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause." Since this shipping date was way longer than quoted on their website, I asked for a partial refund. I received this curt response, "We are not able to process a refund for the order." So, for making me, their customer, wait an additional 16 days (and the items still haven't arrived) there is no refund or any accountability on this company's end. I am very worried that when the hood arrives it won't be an exact match on the paint color. That is based on other Yelp reviews on this company that I've read. I will post a follow-up on here if that is the case. Do NOT order anything from this company. I truly believe that every single order is delayed the same amount of time and they just don't care about their customers!
