I'm reading these reviews and wondering if these reviewers are talking about the same shop. I've actually never written a review on any biz, but since I've literally spent $40k plus as a customer of Macon Diesel for the past 10 plus years with the opposite experience, these reviews have me almost believing in an alternate universe. I'll offer just one example of Adam's (and crew's) exceptional service. my Dodge Ram 3500 dropped a valve and ruined the engine. After Macon Diesel diagnosed the issue, they ordered a remanufactured engine from a company in Canada they've had great history with that offered a superior warranty. Engine was installed but after 10,000 miles it was still burning oil; the rings failed to seat. This previously stellar engine company gave us the run around and failed deadlines. I'll admit that after $19,500 I was more than frustrated with these north of the border pinheads. My warranty was about as empty as the space between the stars. Now comes the reason I can recommend Adam and company. He called and said that although the engine reman company's warranty is just so much wind, Macon Diesel's is not. He not only rebuilt the engine using Cummins brand rings that he knew would seat better, he checked the tolerances and parts to be sure that what we paid for we received. There's more to this story than space permits me to share but those details only add to Macon Diesel's performance. The bottom line with me is this: issues and unexpected problems arise in any business. The question then is how are these issues handled? As a long standing customer who has trusted Adam with all of my trucks I can say that he has always shown the very highest level of honesty, integrity, knowledge and skill. Macon Diesel is an hour away from me with other shops much closer but I would never consider trusting anyone else with my vehicles. read more

I love Macon auto, welcoming staff, friendly shop hands, always have drinks in snacks in the waiting area. They've done work on several of our vehicles such as work trucks and vehicles that needed timely and quality work done. They got right to it and fixed everything wrong with them every time. Adam always explains what was wrong with them and lays out the parts that were applied as well as detailed and organized catalogs of every step/ nut and bolt turned on the vehicles. They do quality work. Shop hands always have great conversation and Ben at the front desk is always helpful and timely in getting vehicles checked in and bills invoiced to be taken care of with a timely manner. :) read more

Great place to take your vehicle for a repair, Adam really shows his years of experience with the knowledge he shares about the vehicle he's working on. It doesn't take him long to discover the issue and offer a solution. He always asks for the go ahead with a repair and tells me exactly what needs done and how he'll fix it. Never had an issue with my vehicle after taking it here and the price can't be beat with the service he provided. I've had him replace transmissions, change my oil, and even fix my air conditioning when it gives out. Never had an issue here. read more

Top notch shop amazing crew great service. From the time you enter the door to the time you leave you feel like a best friend. The price point is fair in today's world.
