This rating is based on a to go order placed. I have no knowledge of inside service besides the hostess who greeted me & snagged my food. She was as nice as she should have been. Let's go over what I got & I will rate below. French onion soup - 6/10 - I love a good french onion soup and this place is pretty good. The broth is tasty and hearty. Soup is full of onions and the cheese is melted perfection. I however didn't like the bread inside it had a funny taste. & There were tons of bay leafs throughout the soup one is fine but several when I don't eat them is annoying. Hubby and I went yesterday. Not very busy but took us over an hour to get our food. It took fifteen minutes for the guy to come back for our order. I ordered the Spicy chicken with the sauce on the side. It came on it. I didn't like the sauce. The chicken was tough like it was reheated and overcooked. My pickle was limp and warm. The bacon was hard. I couldn't eat it. Fries were extremely salty. We were in there an hour and a half. It was not worth the weight. Hubby's chicken was the same, tough. Ate here for lunch today and our experience was much better. Unique outdoor decor. Wife had the French onion soup and a flatbread pizza. I had a 4 beer flight, a house salad with pears and apples, a big bowl of clam chowder, and meat loaf with mashed potatoes and vegetables. Everything tasted great and the food was perfect this time around. Got a large piece of cheesecake to take home. They have 3 sizes of draft beer, which is nice, plus they only give straws upon request--something I wish more restaurants would do. Service by Nick was friendly, attentive and efficient. It's a nice spot. Food is decent and not terrible prices. However the service was not good. 7pm on a Friday night and the place is at 1/3 or 1/2 capacity so not too busy. I the mixed up our burgers so I had a well done burger instead of the medium burger I ordered. My MIL received a rare burger instead of the well done burger she ordered. My daughter got a cheese pizza instead of the pepperoni she ordered which they realized and said they would bring another one out. We did not see our waitress again until she brought the check. We waited for two years to finally get in and check out this restaurant. I wish we would have waited two more. We arrived the night before Thanksgiving and the restaurant was relatively empty. We were seated at a table that did not have full condiments. After sitting at our table for 20 minutes, I had to pretend to go out and come back in to get the hostess attention to ask for our waitress. Ordered a huckleberry lemon martini, it came out missing the sugar rim. Drink was very weak. Hubby's beer did not appear until from the bar until the apps showed up. Told our young waitress after she showed up we had a code for a free app, and we placed our order. Hubby ordered a burger medium rare. Came back twice and the manager blamed waitress as the reason. (Not good leadership skills. Own the mistake and correct it. It's your restaurant!). He also had a horrible case of gas or needed to bath. Check came back with the appetizer not taken off. Had to wait for waitrees again to get her to make the correction. Then had to wait another 15 for her to correct the mistake. She acted like it was a big deal that manager took the burger off. Unless you have two extra hours to spend on a meal that only took 15 minutes to cook and 20 to eat, avoid this place at all costs. It's a shame, we wanted to really like it! I ordered steaks and frites, medium, but they came out rare (not medium rare but rare), and lacking any seasoning on the meat (like not even salt and pepper). At that point I was tired of waiting, so I just asked for it to be boxed so I could recook it at home. The waitress said they could recook it in back but I declined. So, instead of doing what I asked, she did me a "favor" by having them cook it, so now by the time I get home it will be well done, cold steak that can't really be recooked tastily. I had a great burger. It was a putine burger complete with fries, cheese curds, gravy. Putine is a Quebec Canadian dish with melted cheese curds fries and gravy. Sounds weird but really good. I'm from Buffalo so fries with gravy are common place there but sort of rare outside of western NY. This was a great add to a burger. Definitely needed to use a fork and knife though. And the fries were so crispy. My wife had a soup and salad combo. She's so healthy. She raved about the Caesar salad. The server was attentive and kept bringing refills without being asked. We sat at the bar and were super intrigued by the awesome frozen strip of the bar that you can put your beverage on to keep chilly. GENIUS! Our bartender was busy and awesome and did a great job. I wish I remembered her name, but she was blonde and was very attentive. We ordered the nachos and the special "dill with it"pickle pizza. The pizza was legit amazing and I would go back and eat it again and again! It was a special menu item, but I think it should go on the regular menu. The nachos were decent. We had the pulled pork Added for some more protein but the layering of ingredients could have been better. By the end of finishing the nachos we had probably 20 or so "naked" nachos left that we just put on a plate and didn't eat. I would suggest more layering of the cheese and more of the meat added. Also a larger side of salsa. The nachos were so big I wanted the toppings to also be big too. No one wants nachos that lack on all the yummy toppings. My husband & I stopped here for lunch. There was a 15 minute wait so we hung out in the bar until our table was ready. Their lunch specials are $11 so we both ordered from that menu. I had the chicken quesadilla with a House salad while my husband got a small pepperoni pizza with a House salad. The House salad is fresh greens, diced pears & crunchy grape nuts. Let me say the establishment is beautiful. The people are great. The food is terrible. The kids meal is better than the adult food. There's no wow. I thought being a pizza company. They'd have done fabulous Flatbread given the unique topping choices. It was like cracker and dip that I paid more than $10 for. The artichoke dip smelled awful, and didn't taste much better. It was burned to the foil and about two inches deep. Those blue corn chips were not a great pairing. The chicken sandwich that is shown all over social media is not even listed on the menu. Save yourself the money and go to ChicFila. I should've taken the hint from the garbage can out front with the ChicFila trash overflowing from it. Save your money! My wife and I ate here after a trip to Muncie to visit my brother and his girlfriend. As a burger fanatic, I ended up ordering the Bleu Onion BBQ. My wife chose the black bean burger. Burgers came out a bit later, and we dug in. My wife didn't seem too impressed with hers, but mine was pretty good. The bourbon BBQ sauce was delicious, and worked well with the bleu cheese and fried onions. Each burger came with a side of fries, and they could have had a bit more salt, but were generally pretty decent quality. My wife discovered a coupon for a flatbread on their website, so we ended up getting the Pear & Bleu to go. When we had it later that night, I can't say the two titular ingredients meshed very well. Felt like it should have either gone a sweet direction or a savory one. Overall, with some fair/decent burgers, fairly standard prices, and adequate service (our waitress had several tables and was manning the bar, so understandably a bit absent), we had an okay experience. I wouldn't be opposed to eating here again if a friend suggested it, but I wouldn't seek it out either. read more

My wife and I have been coming here since they've opened and always enjoyed their pizza, appetizers and beer. We like to sit at the bar but sometimes meet with our friends at the high top tables, still inside the bar area. Always have had good service. At times they may have been a little short staffed but never waited very long. Some of the bartenders have been there a while and we recognize them when we go back and they us. All hard workers and the pizza is terrific. Especially the thin crust. Love the ice border around the bar which keeps our drinks cold. read more

I was skeptical to come here as what I could see it was just a bar with food options typical of most chain restaurants. Well I am glad I came, yes there was a couple hickups, but I will get into that. As I ordered I asked about dessert, I love dessert. I was told a menu would be right out. Well our drinks came out - all water, keep in simple and easy to refill. The food came out and the burgers looked good, I didn't try any, but my fish and chips... well all I can say is I will be back again for these, OMG, yep I went there. This was some of the best tasting fish and chips I have had. Not your traditional fish, it was a flavored crispy deep fried, not your normal breaded deep fried. It is a little bit sweet, then a slight kick, yum. And the seasoned fries paired very well. I will be back again. Then I after eating and asking again for the dessert menu, I ordered the Kentucky Toast, Here is the description: Deep-fried Southern butter pound cake served with Kentucky bourbon caramel sauce & vanilla ice cream, dusted with smoked sea salt flakes. The food was ok,but there was a problem with the smell in the restaurant Since it was my first time (Nov 27) I want to give them a benefit of a doubt and check again soon to see if it was a one off day. Upon entering all I could notice was an unpleasant smell. Very awkward and overshadowed the whole visit. I wanted to leave, but the server appeared very fast and somehow I stayed, the social pressure won. I asked to be reseated in a different area, but the smell of old eggs lingered. I ordered the Chicken Alfredo Pasta. The food came out fast and it was good. I wouldn't say it was the best pasta ever but good enough for a lunch around Fairfield. Rise and shine Burger was typical bar food. Nothing spectacular. The wife had the chopped salad. Very spicy and was well below average. Had a decent selection of craft beer but I would strongly encourage them to have a printed list of the current taps so customers are aware of them all. When greeted and seated by Kelsey our server, I let her know of the time crunch and she took charge! Our drinks were followed quickly by five fabulous meals. A heapin' portion of extra pepperoni, mozzarella cheese & tomato sauce. I got the large pizza which came out to 8 slices--21.75. It was worth it to me. You'll definitely take leftovers home. However, the beef I paid two dollars extra for was just a couple tablespoons hidden in this 3000 calorie zinger. When I asked for more beef to be added she said "they'll heat it up for you."
