Tried to take my baby here to swim, but the baby pool shares the same water as the lap pool and it's way too cold!

I got fooled by the advertising that said lessons are free for 4-8 months old. You still end up…read morepaying a $35 fee annually and for the trial first lesson. But it was pretty worth it. When we first arrived, we were shown everything and the lady explained everything well. She was very friendly. My baby is 6 months old and he did soo well in the class! The teacher was Kari and she did a great job using a doll to show us parents how to swim and do movements with the babies. We did dunk the babies underwater and I felt better seeing the smaller 4 month baby next to me being dunked (gave me more confidence to dunk my 6 month old haha). They are very creative in their methods of teaching kids how to swim and making it fun. The whole class is 30 min and I felt it was a perfect time because my arms got tired of holding my baby after that long hahah We signed up for lessons in the end! They have great amenities- cubbies for your bags, changing rooms, swimsuit dryer- so handy, bathrooms, seats outside, seating inside, showers to rinse off in the heated swimming pool room (keeps babies from shivering when coming out)!! They require un-potty trained kids to wear a swim diaper. That is all.

We just had our first class and it was a wonderful experience. The facility is spotless, the pools…read moreare heated, and the instructors are very kind! AND there are free classes under 8 months of age! Would highly recommend!

My seven-year-old daughter just finished taking swimming lessons here for the summer. Our first…read moreexperience with it was absolutely terrible - the class setup and the instructor. After that horrible experience, I decided to change her lessons to one-on-one private lessons with a different instructor. It was mainly a sweet girl named Julia who worked with my daughter. My daughter became so excited about swimming! Julia was very patient with my daughter and after the lesson, she'd come right up to me and explain to me everything they went over, and what we needed to work on at home. So even though our first experience here was god-awful, our visits after were so that I'm still giving it 5 stars. Also it is a very nice pool to hang out around with ample swimming pools/areas. Really large shallow wading pool for young children.

Man, it's rarely open. This season it hasn't even been open at all because of a mechanical issue and last summer it had several closures and hiccups throughout the season. And when it was open, a good part of the pool (the deep end) was closed off because they were short staffed. That means that all the other spaces got extra crowded, which wasn't the best scenario for a relaxing swim. Such a bummer! It's walking distance from my house so I REALLY REALLY want to love it, and mostly I REALLY REALLY want to visit it but we just can't because it's still been closed. We still walk our dog through the park, and I love the baseball games and checking out all the rad skaters in the skate park, but the pool is just a real bummer.
