My seven-year-old daughter just finished taking swimming lessons here for the summer. Our first…read moreexperience with it was absolutely terrible - the class setup and the instructor. After that horrible experience, I decided to change her lessons to one-on-one private lessons with a different instructor. It was mainly a sweet girl named Julia who worked with my daughter. My daughter became so excited about swimming! Julia was very patient with my daughter and after the lesson, she'd come right up to me and explain to me everything they went over, and what we needed to work on at home. So even though our first experience here was god-awful, our visits after were so that I'm still giving it 5 stars. Also it is a very nice pool to hang out around with ample swimming pools/areas. Really large shallow wading pool for young children.

Yeah, have to knock my review a bit in response to the crummy pool maintenance the last couple of…read moreyears. The park is still great and the skate park is rad, but the pool? Man, it's rarely open. This season it hasn't even been open at all because of a mechanical issue and last summer it had several closures and hiccups throughout the season. And when it was open, a good part of the pool (the deep end) was closed off because they were short staffed. That means that all the other spaces got extra crowded, which wasn't the best scenario for a relaxing swim. Such a bummer! It's walking distance from my house so I REALLY REALLY want to love it, and mostly I REALLY REALLY want to visit it but we just can't because it's still been closed. We still walk our dog through the park, and I love the baseball games and checking out all the rad skaters in the skate park, but the pool is just a real bummer.

The WaveRunners is not an introductory swimming class, it is a program focused on introductory competitive swimming. It requires swimmers to already be able to swim the length of the pool and know basic swim styles. I love the 3 levels of swim time. My swimmer needs the 1.5 hours 3 days a week option to fully expel his energy. The infamous coach, Bill Copland, leads the swimmers in Delphinus. Waverunners are currently coached by two women. There is a local swim club that meets at the pool as well. Some of the time overlaps so the Delphinus/Waverunners make up the far lanes and the local program make up the lanes closest to the doors. The pool and facilities are kept very clean and very warm. There are two family bathrooms and gender locker rooms. Families of the swimmers must wait upstairs in the bleachers. The nice thing about two teams at the same pool is the mini meets that are held in the same building. It makes it convenient. There are also occasional meets with other swim clubs. My swimmer loves the team atmosphere. They are very thoughtful to the younger swimmers and make sure not to burn them out as youngsters, while still pushing them to learn more. Communication has improved since we started. The website isn't always up to date, but that's a lower priority for me.

We had our wedding here, and I have nothing but incredible things to say about Adam, Adriana,…read moreRachel, and the entire RHF team! We were lucky enough to have our wedding on a gorgeous day in June at the prairie barn, and we were completely spoiled with the attentiveness of the bartending, groundskeeping, and planning team. Guests absolutely loved our venue -- from the air-conditioned barn, stunning tent and table rentals, cocktail hour patio, fire pits, and luscious lawn that we got married on in front of a big oak tree! We had the property completely to ourselves from Friday-Sunday to set up, party, and clean up, which was an added bonus and stress-saver. I would recommend this venue to anybody looking to get married in a modern barn or farm venue. Since then, RHF has opened up the Nest, their kitchen & bar, which we also have loved frequently this past season!

We went here for Sunday brunch on their second week of service. This restaurant is located on M-52…read morejust north of Chelsea. It is back off the road on the Robin Hills complex. We were seated at our table and given the cocktail menu. I ordered the rosemary greyhound. It was refreshing and had just the right amount of rosemary in it. They have a full bar and others at my table had mimosas or bourbon. The brunch menu had many choices, all looked amazing. At my table we had the short rib hash, the boursin cheese egg sandwich, the salmon egg scramble & the sausage, egg and pimento sandwich. Everything was excellent. The hash had amazing roasted potatoes, a nice amount of meat and two beautiful fried eggs on top. Actually, all the dishes came with a side of roasted potatoes that were wonderful. One of the things that I think would really elevate this restaurant is if their orange juice was fresh squeezed. However, it was quite good. We will be coming back soon to try the Italian grinder and the Nutella French toast. We are told that there is music on some nights and we did not review the dinner menu. However, if it's anything like the brunch menu, I can't wait to try it.
