When we first arrived, we were shown everything and the lady explained everything well. She was very friendly. My baby is 6 months old and he did soo well in the class! The teacher was Kari and she did a great job using a doll to show us parents how to swim and do movements with the babies. We did dunk the babies underwater and I felt better seeing the smaller 4 month baby next to me being dunked (gave me more confidence to dunk my 6 month old haha). They are very creative in their methods of teaching kids how to swim and making it fun. The whole class is 30 min and I felt it was a perfect time because my arms got tired of holding my baby after that long hahah We signed up for lessons in the end! They have great amenities- cubbies for your bags, changing rooms, swimsuit dryer- so handy, bathrooms, seats outside, seating inside, showers to rinse off in the heated swimming pool room (keeps babies from shivering when coming out)!! They require un-potty trained kids to wear a swim diaper. That is all.

By the fourth session, she was jumping in without hesitation and her confidence was unbelievable. My four year old, I tried so many times to teach him and nothing stuck. Again four sessions in and he is so confident and his skills have improved immeasurably. We have a different staff helper each time and each one of them is so incredible we haven't had a bad instructor yet. The reviews about management must be old or they must have had an off experience because these ladies are so wonderful, we are having the best experience.

With how much parents pay you would be able to afford fixing the AC. It's disappointing because after just 2 months we have banked 5 of the 8 days he was supposed to swim. My son attended a b-day party at GRIT. The crowd's age ranged from 5-9 years old. I had no idea…read morewhat GRIT was or what to expect, I just knew that I signed a waiver and my kid was going to have some fun. Before the kids went into the gym area, the staff had a chat with them about the rules. They also stated that they were going to do the 'warped wall' obstacle and there's a chance that they could break an ankle if they don't follow the rules and attempt scaling the obstacle properly. I have to admit that I was super freaked out by this. I've seen American Ninja Warrior so I'm familiar with the warped wall. I just didn't want to hear that my kid could break an ankle. All was perfectly fine though. The staff was incredibly attentive and made sure that all of the kids were safe as they traversed several different obstacles. It was also nice that they removed the parents from the equation so that there weren't any extra distractions. The parents sat in a viewing room off to the side. The room had large windows and uncomfortable seats. This room could use a little sprucing up. But that's probably not their focus. I can't say anything about the price of a b-day party here. We were only attendees. I can say that the gym was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. As always, thanks for reading.
