When we first arrived, we were shown everything and the lady explained everything well. She was very friendly. My baby is 6 months old and he did soo well in the class! The teacher was Kari and she did a great job using a doll to show us parents how to swim and do movements with the babies. We did dunk the babies underwater and I felt better seeing the smaller 4 month baby next to me being dunked (gave me more confidence to dunk my 6 month old haha). They are very creative in their methods of teaching kids how to swim and making it fun. The whole class is 30 min and I felt it was a perfect time because my arms got tired of holding my baby after that long hahah We signed up for lessons in the end! They have great amenities- cubbies for your bags, changing rooms, swimsuit dryer- so handy, bathrooms, seats outside, seating inside, showers to rinse off in the heated swimming pool room (keeps babies from shivering when coming out)!! They require un-potty trained kids to wear a swim diaper. That is all.

The staff here is incredible, they all seem to love their jobs and are so engaged with the children. My daughter has had many instructors as she had moved up and they all remember her by name, these personal touches are refreshing and much appreciated. Goldfish has done a really great job since COVID, they spray down chairs, changing rooms, bathrooms ect. In between classes, have reduced class sizes, barriers, and strict in times before lessons.

We did one lesson a week because we also have a pool in our neighborhood that we visited several times a week. The lessons were great to learn how to introduce him to the water safely and in an engaging way for an infant. However, after maybe 2-3 classes, I feel like at this level, there's no need to continue to attend if you have other means to get your child in the water on a frequent basis (honestly a bathtub probably still does the trick at this point). One thing I noticed is that the different instructors run the class very differently. One had us all fully submerging our kid, even a first-timer who was in the class my son was in. Other times, they're barely splashed. This seemed odd to me. Overall, it was a good experience and we'll be visiting local pools to keep our son familiar until he's old enough for the next level. At that point, we'll re-join and start him again.

Again four sessions in and he is so confident and his skills have improved immeasurably.
