Ashley, the trainer, was extremely welcoming and patient as I got back into the swing of things. I tried several other barns in the area but the choice was very easy as none even came close to WHF. Ashley is very knowledgeable about riding and horses. She is not only able to correct my body position and cues but can also explain why it's important to have the correct position in that specific scenario. She knows a lot about the physiology of horses and how the rider's body position and cues affect the horse's body and movement. Her teaching style is excellent. WHF feels like a family and I have tons of fun and learn something new every time I ride here. The lesson horses are great and there are many to choose from. I do not ride the same horse every week and instead am able to work on different aspects of riding with different horses. Plus the farm is beautiful! Try one lesson here and you won't have to look at any other barns!

We were very impressed with the owners of the horse riding academy, Nicole and Nick Semales. They love horses and people so they are in the right business. You can see that they are very passionate in everything that they do. Your children are in good hands with them. The staff is knowledgeable and ensure that you are comfortable for your ride. The trail ride is in nature; we actually saw a deer. Orchard Hill is a fabulous equestrian facility for horse owners and non owners alike. They are very professional and take excellent care of the horses. There is something for everyone and no pressure to take lessons or conform to anyone's style of riding. The people are great. Adults and kids alike. They have wonderful school horses and trainers and the property can't be beat for turnout, trails and jumping, etc. They have a fantastic summer camp which I always enjoyed being around to see children enjoying and learning all about horses. I kept my horse with the Tyler's for about 9 or so months. I was disgusted to say the least. I…read moreoften found my horse with little to no shavings, dry water buckets, an uncleaned stall for days at a time. I also worked for the Tyler's for a short period of time while my horse was there and often times they would run out of grain, hay and shavings and make excuses and lie about why we didn't have them and when we would be getting some. During my time at ATOMEC my horse lost a significant amount of weight due to their lack in horse care. Many days the Tyler's wouldn't come down to feed AM hay and grain until about 11am. Most days horses wouldn't go out and if they did they would go out around 12. Ryan is a self proclaimed farrier and put shoes on my gelding that were two sizes to small. The Tyler's have no right running a farm or owning animals. Many equine professionals (vets, farriers, dentists etc.) will not go to their property for various reasons. I do not recommend you board here if you truly care about your horses well-being.

Cory and Jean possess a high level of integrity unmatched in the horse industry. Together, they strive to help strike the right balance of horse, rider and family. From our first visit to the farm, they made us feel welcome and have provided much guidance and education. Jean's background is routed in a life long passion for horses and a strong business background. She is super organized and detail oriented which I especially appreciate as the person responsible for balancing work and family commitments. Jean sets the horse show schedule a year in advance and even provides detailed estimates for budgeting if you want. The transition to Wellington each winter goes smoothly with horses and riders well taken care of. My daughter has truly grown into a better, more confident rider because of Cory. He is a phenomenal trainer, accomplished rider and role model whose strong work ethic is infectious. He is constantly teaching, incorporating his vast industry knowledge with many life lessons. Goal setting and quarterly meetings are just another example of Cory's thoughtful approach to teaching. He never sends a rider into the ring without being overly prepared. Cory and Jean are awesome, and are far from snobs and ditzes. Not only are they great riders, they are great teachers, and are always friendly and easy to talk to. The way Cory teaches is superb- he always gives both praise and criticism, but the critique is never harsh and is expressed positively, and he never becomes frustrated, no matter how many times you have messed up or if you are running out of time. My mom has a horse in training there, and rides frequently, but I've only had a few lessons; yet my riding is already improving, and my ambition and willpower has risen to higher levels thanks to Cory and Jean's pep talks. This is a truly unique barn!
