My daughter wanted to go horseback riding when we were visiting NH. What a great experience!! These horses are loved and well taken care of. The staff is knowledgeable and ensure that you are comfortable for your ride. The trail ride is in nature; we actually saw a deer. However it's still on their property and it doesn't allow the horses to go off somewhere else. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and sweet! Great time. Will definitely return! read more

We called a week in advance and booked a trail ride to surprise our friends who had recently gotten engaged. My daughter is 3 years old and recently diagnosed with autism. For the past year or so she's had a strong attachment to horses, from afar. Never met a horse. Watching horses on TV or wanting every horse toy invented. I scheduled her very first encounter with a horse at the Lucky 7 Stables. We just moved to New Hampshire and we weren't sure where to go then I found this place on the internet. Boy am I glad I found this place!! The moment we walked in we were immediately greeted by a lady working in the registration office, I feel terrible for forgetting her name but there was so much excitement with my daughter that forgot. She was so helpful and made my daughter, Addison and I feel so welcomed. Later on we were greeted by a lady named Donna (made sure to remember her name LOL) who was going to be giving Addy her riding lesson. She told Addy and I to hangout in one of the stables to visit with the other horses while she got the one we would be working with, Glory, ready for the ride. The horses in the stable were so beautiful and docile and my daughter quickly approached the horses with no fear. She first met Maxine who later became my favorite - she likes to give armpit nudges, haha!!! Addison hopped on Glory for the first time and looked like she's been riding horses for years aside from her favorite rocking horse she has at home. 3 years old and she grasped some of the handling gestures (to get the horse to move or stop) right away! Donna was so pleasant and my normally socially resistant daughter warmed up to her fast. I liked her a lot, too!!! The lesson was finished and I knew immediately that we would be coming back - I even want to volunteer to brush the horses hair after they finish rolling around in the mud to give Donna a break before she rides them lol. They like to give Donna a hard time. As we were leaving the lady from earlier that works in the registration office brought me over some contact information to get my daughter started in a program for autistic children so Addy can ride horses more for therapeutic lessons. I wish I remembered her name she was so helpful to do that for me. I think I just wrote a book!! That just goes to show you how excited I was after leaving Lucky 7 Stables...they made my daughter feel special and that makes this mommy extremely appreciative!!!!! read more

What a special place. I stopped in for a scheduled trail ride during the week and it really made my day. The staff is extremely nice, pleasant, professional and easy to deal with - much better than many surrounding stables who are taking advantage of customers and up-charging upwards of $80 for an hour trail ride. Everyone was wearing masks and being outside makes this a very safe and enjoyable COVID activity. My horse was so well behaved and beautiful and the trail ride was just exquisite with all of the gorgeous fall foliage! This place books up very quick in the Fall, so I recommend booking way in advance. They are open 7 days a week and do trail rides during every season. I can't wait to go back around Christmas to ride in the snow with these beautiful horses! Highly recommend a trail ride here!! read more

I highly recommend this hidden gem for trail riding. Staff is kind and friendly. They took their time getting you ready and informing you about trails and horses personalities. Not to many steep or narrow trails, definitely nice for beginners. It was my eight year old nieces first time, and my 64 year old mothers first time on a horse! If my niece did not feel comfortable riding they were going to have someone walk with her, but they put her in the middle and she did great. They gave them well behaved, great horses. I had a sassy gal Foxy, but I am experienced rider so I was okay with her random trotting as we walked passed lessons that were going on, she wanted to go, but I had fun with it. Price was good, if you're there with another person its $30 per rider or $35 for single. Gigantic property, well taken care of horses and grounds. went here for a trail ride with my daughter. she had experience riding horses but had been tossed off a horse before so was a little nervous. the women leading the trail ride was dismissive and so unsupportive and condescending when my daughter expressed some concern about her horse not listening. we ended up getting off the horses before we even started the ride due to my concern that she clearly did not have any regard for my daughters feelings and became hostile and annoyed when we told her we no longer felt comfortable going in the trail ride. then we were told we could not get a refund because it was spring break and they were busy so would have booked our spots. There were two other people there and NH schools were not even on break. very bad experience all round. no concern for safety, trail leader was extremely rude and mean toward a child, and they lied about how busy they were during a made up spring break so kept the 80 dollars we paid for this miserable experience that lasted 10 minutes tops. read more

Charming stables. Bit odd going in, as you drive in around and behind a house, then it opens up to the barns and paddocks. Multiple little "tack houses" are set up in rows, like mini barns. I'm not sure if that's for the people who board their horses to store their equipment? The staff are very friendly and horses well tempered. I had emailed them looking for riding lessons for my visiting niece, but they responded in a timely manner to say they were booked up. However they did have openings for trail rides, so made an appointment for Jade and her mom. I used to do a lot of riding and would have gone too, but with a bum shoulder didn't want to take any chances. Jade's mom was a little wary, having had a very bad experience a few years ago, but she enjoyed this ride. Turned out to be a private ride, just the two of them and their guide. I think her name was Jess, or Joss? The ride was a leisurely hour long. Certainly worth the $30 each. You do have to register and sign a standard release form in the front office before entering the stable area. And they do have helmets to use. No extra charge. There are a couple gentle Labs behind the front desk. They will perch up on the counter for a head scratch. read more

Such a great experience yesterday on the trail ride. I took my 8 & 10 year old granddaughters. The 10 year , Briella, takes lessons and did fine but Addison (the 8 year old) got frightened when she got on the horse, so Linda one of the staff members, walked with her horse the entire length chatting with Addison. Ernest, our trail leader, even serenaded us with a couple of cowboy songs along the way even! They both want to go again! I'm going to schedule a couple of private lessons for Addison I think. Wonderful Birthday Experience for our 10 year old! We took our daughter today for her 10th Birthday. Very friendly staff & beautiful, well cared for horses greeted us. After mounting up and heading out, it was wonderful to find our guide was very interactive, even singing a solo of Happy Birthday to our birthday girl and belting out a Johnny Cash song on request. I want to thank the folks at Lucky 7 Stables in Londonderry N.H. I found the business online and we all know, you don't know , what to expect when you find things online. ( although most places have photos of their business, you can get there and say, WHAT!, this isn't what I viewed online). I called to make an appointment and although the woman who answered the phone didn't have her appointment book on her,she called me back within the hour. We set up a appointment for the following Monday. Not wanting to be late for our trail ride, ( we, my daughter and husband ), got there 45 mins early. ( yup they were right we could have left later to get there on time ). It was a dreary day . Chances of rain, cloudy, just dreary. We'll let me tell you, we were able to trail ride before our scheduled time and we had the pleasure of having Megan as our trail guide. She was very pleasant. Our horses were matched to each one of us and was spot on ! We had a very peaceful and relaxing ride . Thank you Megan . I can't even describe how perfect my experience at Lucky 7 Stables was! I rode Lilly with a small group (I came solo). The trail was absolutely beautiful! Our guide sang cowboy songs as he led us through the woods - he was amazing! The autumn leaves were beautiful and the setting was so peaceful. The trail was the perfect length and very safe - but not boring! The horses were wonderful and well-behaved. The staff was friendly and helpful. Today was one of my favorite days ever. Took the family out for a trail ride today. Everyone at the stables was friendly and offered pointers about each of our horses. Our trail guide took the time to make sure everyone was comfortable with their mounts before leading us off. This was a great way to spend an hour rising through the woods on a well defined trail. The owner was amazing! A horse I ride with was trained here and the owner gave me his registered papers to give to his current owner. They also now own one of the horses from my barn because he didn't work out in an English barn. It was so nice to see him happy in his new job. The horses are very well taken care of. The trail ride itself was great. Ernest, our trail leader, was engaging and had an uncanny resemblance to Ed Harris' cowboy character in HBO's Westworld. I'm a seasoned English rider and brought my boyfriend who has never been on a horse before. It's very beginner friendly and was a relaxing ride for an advanced rider. The horses know their job and follow the leader in front of them with little required from the rider. I rode Boomer and he was wonderful. read more

My daughter really wanted to ride a paint horse so I asked them over the phone and when we got there everyone of the workers said "so your the one who wanted to ride the paint. We got there an hour early and they let us walk around and pet every horse and the workers would show us things around the stable! Very nice people. i tool my 9 and 14 year old daughters for a trail ride which lasted about 45 minutes. they had a great time and want to do it again. Everything about the trip was pleasant and professional. Im so thrilled that this first experience was fun for them since some of my best memories were horseback riding. First time riding at 66-years old. Booked as a surprise for my wife, an experienced rider. Never been on a horse in my life, but the staff made it easy. Rode Boomer, who was a bit of jerk with the other horses at first, but settled right down once the ride started. Staff really pays attention during the ride; giving advice as you ride. Boomer was funny in that if there were two ways around a tree - one an incline and the other level ground, all the other horses took the incline but he took the level ground. No dummy, he wasn't going up an incline with a 212lb guy on his back when he could stay level. It added humor to my ride. read more

I used to take my son's here when they were younger, always had a good time then. My boys are now grown and are 28 and 26 both combat vets. My oldest son has started his family. My grandson has gone here and I have now taken my 9 year old daughter here twice. We had a great time this past Saturday 7/30/16 Earnest was our trail guide and what a great guy... Friend and I decided to go on an adventure which ultimately lead us to this adorable stable in Londonderry, NH. One hour guided tour through a forrest atop a beautiful horse. L.o.v.e.d it. Felt so majestic although I wish I would have been able to get my trot on. Totally understandable though on their part (liabilities etc). Price was 30 bucks. I find reasonable. Open year round. We just had a group of parents and kids go for a trail ride here. Many nervous parents and kids/first timers. The staff and owner handled the kids and group amazingly. They had a woman walk the trail ride for nervous kids and she held their horse and gave so much positive reinforcement. It was so hot and she had long sleeves and pants on. I was soooo hot FOR her but she was still nice as can be. The trail guide sung some westerns, and had an amazing voice! They knew the horses so well! We will definitely come back for another trail ride and we will be doing lessons here also! One of the most beautiful things about this place is they make it affordable, so those that wouldn't otherwise be able to have the incredible experience with a horse, they actually get to. I never even considered lessons because they are so expensive, but this place allows that with their prices. I cannot say enough positive things about this place! read more

Found this place because google has good reviews. Kind of disappointed. The sunset horse back riding is a bit misleading. It may sound romantic and even the pictures on their website look amazing. But it's so untrue. Even though we started before sunset, I can only see the sun for the first minute during my ride. Then the sun was hidden behind hills. No sunset light during the 59 of 60 minutes ride. Also, the staff is not professional. No directions in the beginning of what to do and where to go (before getting to the horses). Then they didn't choose the right horse for people with the right level of experience riding a horse. My horse got hard to control while I had barely no experience. So it's a bit uncomfortable during the ride. And the guide didn't offer to take pictures for us and she didn't even do it after I asked for it. Horrible experience. read more
