Best Dentist Appointment I've ever had!…read more All of the staff were wonderful! From the doctor to the receptionist! All wonderful people! The office was nice and super clean with medical grade air purifiers. My dental hygienist (Kristy) was so sweet and it was the first time my mouth wasn't sore after a cleaning. I've already called my family for them to book their next appointments. The office had pictures of the Loretto Chapel and the stairs that were built. It was a cute detail!

They are all so sweet and welcoming. Dr. Mackey is well experienced and is great at explaining things. For nearly all of my visits. I have had Lindsey clean my teeth who was super sweet and gentle. My last visit I had Amanda who was welcoming and super thorough! It was slightly uncomfortable, but i appreciate her thoroughness. For cleaning flavors. I recommend the birthday cake! During the visit, there's a small waiting room with a tv and keurig. In the cleaning rooms, there's a tv on the wall and ceiling to make time go by. At the end, you get a goody bag with a new toothbrush, floss, and toothpaste.

My hygienist is no longer there and she was entertaining to say the least. I loved her!! She did a thorough job and my teeth felt so good! A new hygienist (I truly can't remember her name but I know she's no longer there), was the worst I've ever experienced. She was pretty much on top of my chest and I was very uncomfortable with that. Also, the check in process is a thorn in my side. Clients get handed a tablet to verify info. It's very time consuming and not necessary if all my info hasn't changed (insurance, home address, etc). I've said many times that my info is the same. One time I just flat out refused and the receptionist signed for me! I also asked "IF I get a crown today, and have an issue with it tomorrow & have to come back the next day, will I be handed the tablet again to verify my information?" (like I moved over night, lol). She said "yes!" This is the ONLY dental office I've been to that does this check in process. Just a note to Dr. Revering, my time is just as important to me as yours is to you. I'm so done!

Flower Mound Family Dentistry is an unscrupulous office overcharging for services and misleading…read moreabout insurance coverage I called to verify they take BCBS and file claims for payment before booking appointment. Was told that they took it and I would only have to pay $50 deposit which would be deducted from my co-pay or refunded if no copay. In same phone call, I informed them I only needed a cleaning and nothing else since I had just had all x-rays done 6 months before at previous dentist and would have records sent to them. So i paid the deposit, had my old dentist forward my records, and spent over an hour completing all the on-line forms for their office. When I showed up to appointment, they presented me with this HUGE bill to pay before they do anything. When I reminded them about the insurance verification and filing, I was told they did not know how much would be refunded to me by insurance so I would have to pay and then wait to see. Since I felt lied to, I cancelled the appointment for which they charged me $150!

Before, I had tried a few others, one of whom…read morehad given me a huge treatment plan, including thousands of dollars' worth of 'necessary' dental work. After receiving that, a coworker recommended Southridge Dental & Dr. Dunson, and I have been a patient there ever since. I did not disclose that another dentist had recommended all that work at my first visit, and Dr. Dunson did not assign me a laundry list of procedures, which was my first sign he was an ethical practitioner. He takes a conservative approach to dental work, opting to keep an eye on potential issues rather than immediately resorting to fillings or root canals. Now, I have recommended them to countless folks. My husband sees them too. Andrea and Lisa are the two hygienists/dental assistants I see the most at my cleanings, and they are both amazing. They have been there a long time (Andrea, since I've been a patient; I still remember these bedazzled safety glasses she used to wear many years back!) Rounding out the team are Carol and Shannon in the office. Carol greets you at the front desk, schedules your appointments, and always calls the day before your appointment with a friendly check-in. Shannon handles the billing, and she explains everything very clearly. Their office is run very efficiently. I am rarely waiting in the lobby long enough to even sit down! After the hygienist or assistant finishes your cleaning and any x-rays, Dr. Dunson is there within a minute or two to check everything out and give you an overview of any potential issues he's noticing. (He hums along to the music while he's working, which is always entertaining! I can relate, I do this too.) I haven't needed much dental work, but in the event of a necessary filling, Dr. Dunson handles the procedure kindly and compassionately. I don't love getting a shot of Novocain (who does??), but he and the staff are always so understanding and encouraging through the process. I cannot recommend Southridge Dental enough. They are an independent operation, which I prefer over the influx of corporately owned dental offices flooding the area. They are kind folks who genuinely care about the health of your teeth and giving excellent care.
