I'm sure they're all great, but talk with Sophie Trainor if you can- she's simply the best at her job. The less concise testimonial: It feels good to report how positive my experience has been with Templeton Robinson. I'd rented with them for the first year I lived in Belfast, and at that point, I'd promised myself that I'd only rent or buy with them as they were noticeably the best agency I'd come across in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Paris, and London combined. The agents who work here are consistently the most trustworthy and professional, not to mention sincerely patient and kind. Foolishly, I broke my promise and (without naming any rival agencies) was disappointed; they are not all created equal. Today, this disappointment has only further emphasised just to what extent the staff of this company is superior. I've recently been dealing with Sophie, and was compelled to write a review purely based on the fact that she is the best agent I've ever met. Their office's are a little bare, but its the style of most agents offices now to look kinda of minimal. They were quite friendly to me when I enquired about a property, although they did get a little pushy when I said I'll come back later. I had only come in to be nosey (and grab a sneaky Yelp) but I ended up giving them my mobile number to just get back out of the door! I have heard of some people having problems when they're rented accommodation was being managed by Property People, but who doesn't have a gripe with those people who take your money off you every month!

All the staff were huddled together at a computer giggling eating and making us feel uncomfortable as if we were wasting their time. 3 staff members in the office and when we asked to see a suitable apartment I was told they could fit us in next day at 2 as they were too busy. Went to other agency and got sorted with viewing same day and have happily got sorted. Worst experience ever, no customer service at all. AVOID UNLESS DESPERATE.

Lairds is an estate agent institution. Every student will have been warned and every student will ignore the hazard because Laird is handy. It's located in the university area, they have loads of properties and they put all properties and their details on a nicely designed out sheet for all to see. But that's the easy part over. After this the torment will begin. The dreaded contract with guarantors signing in front of solicitors is enough to scare any new student into oblivion. Then you move in and have the viewings that no-one tells you about. You were out last night, stumbled home, may be semi naked but definitely stinking of booze. It's 9am and you wakened by an estate agent knocking on your door and entering your room with two bright eyed and busy tailed students. Nightmare. However, if you have very little to do and fancy a bit of banter, book a viewing and pray to God you get the little man from Southern Ireland. He's fantastic craic and will leave you with stories from his estate agent past. It's worth it just for him.

(See my review on Northern Property NI, I added the company on here as it conveniently seemed to avoid Yelp somehow). We told them what we went through and they wanted to help us straight away. We went for a viewing of an apartment right round the corner from the place we were meant to move in to with those Northern Property glipes and this place was in immaculate condition! Every fraction of the place was sparkling. There was a brand new mattress on the bed, sofas etc as advertised. It was massive and £25 cheaper for better quality (see my other review on that). We had our own furniture though but because the guy who owned the place was now living abroad he couldn't take the things away so we put them in the spare bedroom and my partner used it as a man cave lol the only thing was we had a few insignificant faults that we contacted them about and a guy came out to have a look and log them but nothing was ever done about them in the year we were there no matter how many times they came out to look at them. The maintenance manager is a lovely guy and the girl Sinead we were dealing with was brilliant, they're all so friendly you could happily talk to them all day! The only reason why we left was we were expecting our first baby and there wasn't the room for the nursery because of the owners furniture but I would recommend this company to everyone!

Trying to make appointments and arranging times to view various properties (for the ones that haven't already been let out by the time you phone)... the whole thing can be a headache. However, this letting agent can save you an awful lot of hassle. You walk into the office in Botanic Avenue and they have lists of all the properties they have available to let in the surrounding area. The next step isn't to pull out the iPhones and digital organisers to make an appointment to view a property at a time that's convenient to you and them, no no. The next step is to hand them some type of photo ID (driving licence or passport), tell them which property you'd like to view, they give you the keys and off you go! This is undoubtedly the way to go. Bring the keys back and get keys to view another property. If you're looking for somewhere around the university area, you could easily view about 10 properties during business hours. Of course, this doesn't help if there's somewhere that you specifically have your eye on that isn't being let by this property agent, but aside from that it's a great service.

Like any estate agents if you ring ahead they will are more than accommodating to find you a suitable house/ flat. The flats we live in currently ( 8 friends live in two separate flats in the one house, 4 to each flat) are a bit smaller than most houses you will find in the Holy Lands, however the kitchen fittings are modern and clean compared to most kitchens I've viewed.. and we have went to over 15 viewings in the past. The flat is big enough for what we need and makes it easier to heat. Rent is a bit pricy for the size of the flat but the location of most of their flats/ houses are perfect as they are just off Botanic Avenue which is VERY close to the Botanic Train Station and Uni Link to Belfast and Jordanstown campus. Lots of shops, cafes, fast food outlets and restaurants around these flats. We come into contact with three members of Staff at University properties, Paul, Margaret and 'the handyman' (Think his name is Brian?) all of whom are very friendly and down to earth. If there is any problem they usually get back to us very quickly, even out of hours.

I do hate moving but it would be worth the effort once we'd found our little haven. There are several agents working for the company which is based in Stranmillis. It covers both rental and properties for sale in the south Belfast area, moving into the city area as well. The agent who showed us round a two bed city apartment was a little cold but she did give us the lowdown on the property and included all the salient facts. They do seem a little lackadaisical when it comes to contacting clients for a follow-up after a viewing. Several other letting agents are much quicker at getting in contact and getting your opinion, without being overly pushy. That being said, the apartment we saw was exactly what it said on the tin. I may be looking again in the near future and would defiantly give them a ring before settling on another property.

They have an excellent website and the staff are always welcoming and non intrusive whether you are in the shop or out viewing a property. Me and my friends viewed a few properties with these guys when we were students and I always found them to be helpful, polite and honest. They did not want to oversell to us or pressure us. I found this relaxing and refreshing. It was maybe because they sell lots of flats to students due to their Ormeau Road location but I found the service to be excellent.

I stumbled upon my Lucas Building property and booked a viewing. The agent, Stephen showed up and gave us the tour. The images on the website really didn't do it justice, when you saw the place with your own eyes it really shone. The paperwork was simple and easy to handle. Since signing the contract any issues we have had have been quickly and smoothly dealt with (excluding one instance where I needed a form signed) Certainly one of the most professional and reliable letting agents int he city centre with lots of properties on offer.
