After being a tenant for 7 years before this, I've experienced things I've never experienced from a…read moreletting agent: -Administrative errors when rent was up for renewal, incorrect pricings which I the tenant had to follow up on, including the monthly rate changing to the wrong value and invoicing for both the old and new rate -6 monthly walk arounds of the property: which if you wish to be present for you'll have to take time off work - and if you weren't present the threat to use their key which should be for emergencies only made me feel so unsafe I had to put up cameras in my home to ensure no one was just popping in whenever I was out! -Pre- check out inspection: upon giving our notice, we were subjected to a pre-check out inspection nearly 4 weeks before we were due to vacate the property (while we were in the middle of moving out, which we informed them of, they insisted on coming anyway). Obviously, the house was in no state to be viewed, (boxes everywhere, let alone a deep clean). Believe it wasted everyone's time involved - they had to come back 2 weeks later again after I'd vacated but while I still held the keys, and while in the middle of moving house I didn't need the added stress of an inspection that really should have happened after the property had been vacated and was ready for a check over. -Handyman: The company used a handyman who was a jack of all trades who was great for some things but not all, even though it was reported very early (a few weeks) into the tenancy - it took over a year to fix only 1 of 3 broken uPVC windows as it: "required a specialist", which was an expensive cost for our heating bill. The inconsistency in repairs successes dissuaded us from even bothering to report issues. Especially as again - the idea of a stranger letting them in your home alone if you were out is unnerving - and they were happy to provide the key to anyone who needed it. Overall, my home felt unsafe with constant reminders of people being able to let themselves in and the company felt incompetent when dealing with them in regards to invoice updates and repairs. I'd not recommend them for use as either a tenant or a landlord.
