We had them to do the roof replacing 2 years ago, and it started leaking in Sept this year. the roof is under warranty, and they refuse admit their fault even we have the third party roofer provides the inspection result. During the inspection, the third party also found they were not performing on the work against the supposed to be on the contract. no R.U.S.S strip installed around the perimeter of the roof, pavers were not installed on pedestals which used to create a water channels to allow water under a paver to the drain location. We tried call and email them but no responses at all, and we have to hire some one to put a tarp on the roof to avoid the further damage. If you don't want to end up in our situation, avoid this company, avoid this company!! read more

I chose them carefully after checking with BBB - NOW they are not honouring their warranty - my roof is leaking because the didn't install an essential decking required for tar roof. They torched directly onto the shiplap (wood) which could have caused a fire. The manager John, yells at me and tries to intimidate me and Darren the owner promised to come see but has avoided my calls. They are denying workmanship is NOT the issue -- I had private inspection stating that it was faulty workmanship and many essential applications were missed. At the time I was newly divorced and broke, they did a payment plan which was paid in full as per terms within 6 months, now Darren said he didn't put decking in due to me being on a payment plan - WHY would I get a roof without decking or proper installation? I have asked them since January 2021 many times to at least come and see the issue and the Manager nor the owner Darren has come to see the problem as of April 2021! ***** NOT RECOMMENDED read more

garbage company!!! highly warn against using these crooks! don't trust them with your home! they will install wrong, create damage and put you off continually so they never actually have to come fix their mistakes. they are pathetic and frankly are the scum of the earth for taking advantage of customers this way. they should be ashamed of themselves the lot of them. read more

This company was awful! The guys were constantly yelling loudly and smoking, and throwing their cigarette butts on the grass and the pavement. The work was sloppy and unnecessarily noisy and messy. They also worked on sundays, despite the City of Vancouver confirming that they're not allowed to. I do not recommend them at all. read more

Worst ever. Don't use. They couldn't be bothered to provide decent service towards roofing work, hung up on us mid way thru the call saying they're real busy and can't be bothered. Now we couldn't be bothered either. read more

Just a note to thank you for the great service you provided us with in getting a solution for our roofing problem. Even though your company inherited our problem from the previous company you were very conscientious in repairing our damaged vented roof caps at no charge. You also suggested and then installed static roof ventilators at a very reasonable cost, that will hopefully solve our attic heat problem. Personally had a waterfall in my office full of hundreds of thousands of dollars of equipment. They have yet to act on cleaning up the moisture in our walls. My recommendation is stay away from this company. read more

Read the fine print! Roofing Warranty is not really transferable until agreed by the roofer to accept it. I thought I was careful when I a house that had been replaced by them by calling the roofer to confirm warranty on a 7 year old roof. They said that they remembered the roof job and that we had coverage...5 yrs later when a leak occurred, I contacted the company again but this time the owner claimed that they didn't/ wouldn't agree to a 20 year warrranty even though I have a signed MacBeth document from the original owners of the house. He wouldn't even drive out to see the problem and claimed that the membrane was towards it end of life without seeing the roof. If it is the membrane, how come the leak is only at part of the house? Is it the membrane or the workmanship? I spent 20 bucks on roof tar to patch the job to do it and it hasn't leaked at that spot since' but that was 2 years ago and now I am seeing the signs of roof break down. It is the wet-coast, so I am praying that it will last another couple of years. If it does then it will be at least 16 of the 20 years of the warranty that should have been covered for. I see lots of Penfolds signs in my neighbourhood's yard, perhaps I should check them out. I get the feeling that they would honour their warranty or at least be willing to go out in the rain to look at their previous work. read more

This company is HORRIBLE. They still have not finished the job. They started in the middle of May. We continually have to call them to get them on site to finish. Our property is a disaster and I will update on whether or not they even clean it properly. We cannot wait until they are finished and we can wipe our hands of them. read more

They are not accountable for their mistakes. After roofing my home it was a leakage from backslash to two levels of home damaging walls and floor. They came and fixed their obvious mistake but didn't want to fix the damage. Several communication but they ignored. Finally I paid $700 to fix drywalls and floor. Don't get caught into their lower price. read more

I'm extremely picky when selected trades to do work at my strata. We used Macbeth Roofing because they believed in quality work with peace of mind. We had them due multiple repairs on my strata's roof and we were able to get through the winter without having to get a new roof and spend a ton of money. Best money I have spent. Great crew with a great attitude and willing to take the time to explain what they were doing and clean up! read more

Macbeth. The name alone should have provided enough foreshadowing of the tragedy that was to come, but I didn't give it any thought at the time. I could write about how the workers walked around like they had cement in their boots - always in slow motion. Several days they just decided to not show up at all. From the time they first showed up on site until the final inspection was 1.5 months. But that is not the real problem with Macbeth Roofing & Waterproofing. "Fair is foul, and foul is fair." They wrote up a detailed contract, but they did not do what they promised to do in the contract. They promised daily cleanup of debris from yard and gutters. They didn't do this. They promised to replace b-vents. My roof still has all three original rusty b-vents. They promised to replace all flashing. They re-used old flashing in places where they thought that I wouldn't check. They promised to replace the built-in gutter. They only replaced most of the gutter, unsuccessfully tried to patch old and new material in one corner. One section of my gutter is still filled with pigeon poo and weeds. They promised all workmanship will meet or exceed all government and industry standards. On parts of the roof that were easily visible, they fastened the fascia flashing with screws and rubber washers to seal the hole in the flashing. On hard-to-access parts of the roof they fastened the fascia flashing with a nail gun that formed a funnel into every nail hole in the flashing. They promised to include repair of fascia boards in the cost of the original estimate in order to match a competitor's bid. They provided expert opinion that 100 feet needed to be repaired. They only replaced 55 feet. The parts that 'didn't need to be repaired' have holes rotted through the boards - and rather than recommending that these sections be repaired, they just put the flashing on the fascia and asked for the check! They promised a 50-year manufacturer's warranty. In the end I received only a 40-year manufacturer's warranty. And believe it or not, the lead worker on site spent time talking with me about the low quality of work done by companies run by certain ethnic groups in the lower mainland - all the while knowing what he had done on my roof! "All the perfumes of Arabia will not sweeten this little hand." These guys stink. Don't play a role in this tragedy. Stay away from this unscrupulous company. read more

After receiving 3 quotes for redoing our sunroom roof Macbeth was the only one who sent a knowledgeable representative. His proposal and quote where excellent and made it is for us easy to choose our contractor. Work was done on time, cleaning of the site was excellent.
