Arvin answered our removal and pre roof prep questions. The onsite crew was polite and courteous the entire time on site. There was a sudden shower hiccup while installing the new shingles but they followed up and handled it. A longer shingle warranty was chosen and shingled product photos the project mgr took upon finished inspection...speak for them selves, I noted 2 areas where they added extra edge flashing that wasn't in the contract, but no charge. They quoted 3 old layers removal but there was an old 4th layer underneath. That added removal and dump charge weight was detailed & noted. The fellas at Goodvan's do good service work and follow up. I will be referring them for future roofing work.

We Hired Simar and Save More roofing to put a new roof on our reno in North Vancouver. The roof was…read morecompleted in May 2017. We had a leak almost immediately. We have been trying to contact Simar for over two months and he refuses to answer or return our calls. Since then we have had an envelope inspector do a report on the roof. He found that the workmanship was very poor, and that standard roofing practices had not been followed, causing major issues with the roof. We have a very long list of all the mistakes that were made. We have had several reputable roofing companies look at the roof, and they all believe that it should be replaced entirely. This will be more expensive than starting with a new roof as the old roof will need to be removed. This repair has majorly delayed the rest of the renovation. It has also added costs in terms of drywalling, general delay and also extended rental at our current home. Additionally, due to a bank error, Simar was overpaid $3200, which he acknowledged and promised to return to us. It is many months later and he has not returned the money, nor has he contacted us. We have a signed contract offering a five year warranty. Dealing with Simar and Save More Roofing has not only been very stressful, but in the end it will have cost us additional tens of thousands. We have been nothing but polite and have tried to resolve this peacefully, but there is no response form Simar.

We got Satpal to do our roof. He and his team did a great job. We had a standing seam metal roof…read more12" roof installed. The roof costed $25k. It was money well spent. The roof should last us for 50+ years. We won't have to worry about the roof for a long time. Satpal made sure everything was done right and was done properly. Unfortunately when he was removing the old roof, we found out the old roof (who was done by another roofer in the past) was mopped to the deck. It was sad because that costed us a few extra $$$$ to remove the old roof completely. We needed to sand the deck and install new boards on top to insure the integrity of the new roof. Satpal communicated all issues to us very well. He was honest to tell us that our roof had built in drains already and we didn't need to spend extra to get a new drain put in because it was not needed. Before going to SPS Roofing, we did get a few quotes from other roofers. We found SPS contract straight to the point and was able to start very soon. Also, we chose SPS because Satpal responded quickly by email or phone. SPS charges market. I highly recommend using SPS.

Fast forward to this January when the downspout on my 3 story west facing wall was blown off in a major windstorm and I found it lying in my garden. I'm a widow in my 70s & even if I had a long enough ladder I couldn't fix it myself so I called them expecting a significant service & call out charge. Between COVID & the staffing problems all contractors are having today took it them a while, but two weeks ago they showed up put it back in place and added extra brackets to make sure it didn't come down again - same excellent work as the first time and no charge ! Now that's customer service - if you live in North or West Vancouver & need gutters I highly recommend them

The solar panel installation was halted. I contacted several roofing companies to get assessments on the issue and obtain estimates. It turns out one side of the roof did not have adequate venting and moisture was being absorbed by the plywood. I met with several roofing company representatives and each provided their suggested way to address the issue...and the estimated costs were all over the map. But when I met with the Absolute Roof Solutions sales representative...I knew I had found the right company. They explained what the issue was, how they would address it and the next steps. They followed with a quote and then a follow up conversation with the Project Manager. They picked a date that was to be rain free. The crew showed up on time and they went about their work. Taking 1/2 a roof is not an easy task but they managed to get it done in the one day...and to get the site all cleaned after, including ensuring all debris was removed from both neighbours yards. Great job Absolute Roof Solutions. It was a very positive roof repair/replacement experience and very happy to recommend Absolute Roof Solutions.

I requested quotes from a number of companies and MD Roofing was one of the first to reply. Surprisingly, the prices varied greatly despite everyone saying they would do pretty much the same job. After reviewing them all, I called MD Roofing and arranged an appointment with Chand. He and his father came by, did a thorough inspection and we wrote up the deal right on the spot for exactly what he'd quoted. When I asked how soon he could do the job, he said the following day! He said he had a window of opportunity, it was small job and the weather looked good. Other roofers were saying a minimum of four to six weeks with some suggesting early spring. His crew arrived the following morning and by mid-afternoon, just before it started to rain, they were finished and the site cleaned. My wife really appreciated that Chand took the time to choose a shingle style that matched those on the roof of our house and I was extremely please with a professionally installed new roof for a very reasonable price - before the rains set in. I would highly recommend MD Roofing Ltd. for their straight forward, honest and friendly manner as well as reasonable price and professional workmanship.
