The solar panel installation was halted. I contacted several roofing companies to get assessments on the issue and obtain estimates. It turns out one side of the roof did not have adequate venting and moisture was being absorbed by the plywood. I met with several roofing company representatives and each provided their suggested way to address the issue...and the estimated costs were all over the map. But when I met with the Absolute Roof Solutions sales representative...I knew I had found the right company. They explained what the issue was, how they would address it and the next steps. They followed with a quote and then a follow up conversation with the Project Manager. They picked a date that was to be rain free. The crew showed up on time and they went about their work. Taking 1/2 a roof is not an easy task but they managed to get it done in the one day...and to get the site all cleaned after, including ensuring all debris was removed from both neighbours yards. He sealed all the cracks, vent pipes, reinforced any loose gutter & then clean the roof & gutters. The estimate quote was shocking, but he explained since we had not cleaned the roof in 30 yrs, there was an excessive moss build up. After 4 days (at least 7 hrs/day), our roof looks like brand new! MT Roofing came out at the specified time, took a look and told me to call them again in approximately 2 years as there was nothing wrong with the roof. Now that is what I call "great service and very ethical". No charge for the call to come and have a look.
