They have the rolled dog food (like Red Barn) which I found out our dog trainer used as a high value training treat. They have freezers with raw and fresh food which I may use if I'm ever out of my own home prepped raw. They have lovely beef check rolls in all sizes and with various stuffing option - a dog's dream! At the expected time they did not call me so I called to check in on him. I was told he was "being difficult" so they needed to give him a break. This has never happened before, but I totally supported that idea. When he was finally ready, I went to pick him up and decided ahead of time that I would give a $20 tip since they had to no doubt spent extra time with him and it sounded like a very kind thing to do to give him a little break. I was greeted at the door with, "he peed all over the door. " I wasn't quite sure what to do at that point. I wasn't sure if I was to clean up after Reggie or give them extra money or?? Clearly letting him out during the five hours that he was there was not on their radar . Also, I quite expected somebody to say, " oh this is what happened", or "this is why he needed a break", but nobody said anything. I laid the $20 on the counter and said, "well this is for the groomer" who I'm pretty sure was Lindsay but not one single person acknowledged me. On top of all this they also nicked him and nobody said anything about that. It's pretty pricey to get your dog groomed here and I think the fact that there is not 1 ounce of customer service was really sad. These insults typically take place in the fish department, surrounded by chock-full aquariums of fish for sale. My encounter was in Englewood, now I hear this manager is in Boulder. Dear Petco: please consider either selling fish like a normal pet store or else get out of the fish business altogether. This manager will eventually blacklist us all with all her questions and beliefs. Try Petsmart, the Fish Den, anywhere else.
