This part of the review is for the MAC store that ISN'T in Macy's. These ladies are wonderful! I walked in there about a year ago not knowing anything about make up but they all matched me to foundation and answered all my questions without getting annoyed which was great cause I felt bad!! But every time I go in there I always get greeted by all of them someone of them know me by my first name which I love. I love shopping here! This part is for the MAC store IN Macy's. I am a huge fan of MAC, however these are the most unprofessional MUA's in any MAC store I have ever visited. I came in on a Friday night, knew exactly what I wanted and asked for that. Never once did I ever have to check behind them in the past. Long story short, a few days later, open my Studio Fix and boom!! Its NC43 and not NW43. I would have been okay with the mistake however when I called the store and spoke with Lauren, she was very rude and nasty and tried to act as if I asked for the wrong shade. Bish please, I been wearing the same shade for 4 years, the mistake is the sloppiness of the artist's and lack of customer service. Honestly if you know what you want, don't bother, just order online and save yourself the hassle. read more

Let me just say that the women here are much more helpful than the women at the MAC counter at Nordstroms. I came in on a Friday morning, and the woman who helped me was great. I told her that the MAC at Nordstrom had not been able to match me (I needed a lighter shade since I had not spent that much time in the sun this year) with a correct powder. Not only did she she find my powder shade in studio fix, she matched me in the longwear liquid foundation, when I told her that the studio fix liquid was too heavy. She also gave her opinion on which paint pot I would get the most use out of. I am definitely making my makeup purchases from this MAC vs the MAC at Nordstrom! read more

These ladies always do a great job on my makeup when I come in last minute. They're also sales ladies in addition to being make up artists so they will encourage you to buy some of the products, but they're never too pushy and they're great at explaining what they used to achieve your look. The last time I went in and requested a punk rock look for work, I was a bit nervous. But the Mua assured me that I'd love it, and I did! The eyeshadow blend along with the eyeliner and deep red lips looked great on me thanks to her! They also have a great variety of lipsticks. My personal favorite is hug me, which is semi nude. The lipsticks do not rub off after a meal or throughout the day. I find that if reapply a little bit of coco butter lip balm every few hours the color stays vibrant all day. This store is perfect for all your makeup needs but also for your questions as well. These ladies know their stuff! read more

First thing I want to be clear, I love MAC products, loved the products since the first time I tried them. Now that, that's out of the way, on to the review of THIS MAC store. I've been in this MAC store several times in the past, but seeing as how I don't live near this mall I don't frequently visit. I was extremely shocked by how the employes are allowed to dress there now. They all looked like groupies of KISS or Insane Clown Posse. I literally thought I walked into the wrong store. The employees were dressed very inappropriately. One women had her whole cleavage almost out. Another one had her belly out hanging for everyone to see. One women's pants were all torn up as if she had a fight with wolverine himself before work. A gentlemen there had on elevator shoes, leather pants with a skirt and with extreme makeup on. Actually they all had a lot of makeup that went along the lines of what people would call "gothic". To be a makeup store none of them had on makeup to me that looked good. It was all caked on and heavy. I brought my mom with me, she's 74 years old and was very uncomfortable there and so was I and I'm 28. The staff seemed pleasant. But the way that everyone dressed made for a very uncomfortable atmosphere. I know everyone has there own style. I'm fine with that. But this is a MAC store, were I thought, was suppose to be of higher standards. Sadly the way that the staff is allowed or encouraged to dress is very distasteful. If I was walking into a tattoo pallor, rock concert or business that warranted this type of attire, this would of been acceptable. For the uncomfortable atmosphere and poor taste in presentable MAC business attire I give this a one star. If I could give it zero stars i would. If you have kids or are uncomfortable around cleavage or exposed skin in a business setting then please steer clear of this MAC store. Especially if you have kids. Go somewhere else. I know I will not ever go back to this place until it cleans itself back up and has there staff dressing more appropriately for the customers and for the company. read more

I absolutely love MAC products. I am a natural blonde with very pale freckley skin and not really much of a noticeable eye brow. I also have dry flaky skin and the new moisturizer lotion is amazing. I apply it at night with a cotton ball after my shower before bed and in the morning before I apply my MAC make-up (you can apply your make-up immediately after) also, a little goes a long way. No need to soak the cotton ball and the moisturizing lotion will last you for months. I used to use drug store make-up UNTIL I had my make-up professionally done for a wedding this time last year. I went and spoke with one of the staff members in MAC and they color matched my foundations, helped me choose a lip pencil (matte is my favorite) apply once and it stays on all day. You can eat, drink and maybe smoke (I do not smoke) and it does not come off. I feel like it stains my lips and holds true all day. The same with the foundation, creamy eye brow pencil and mascara. It does not feel cakey and offers complete coverage, even on those smoldering hot summer days. I was out of foundation and needed a new lip pencil and Toya was absolutely wonderful. She is beautiful and full of passion and knowledge for MAC products which made my shopping experience that much better. I left happily and excited to try my new make-up. Buying make-up literally gave me a headache in the past as there is so much to choose from and not knowing what's beneficial to each skin type can be confusing. You would be surprised how little you actually know about your own skin texture until you meet one-on-one with a MAC artist. I will be going back in a couple weeks to purchase more MAC products.
