I came here to buy a few makeup products and had a fantastic makeup shopping experience! I…read morediscovered that I love Blue Mercury, and in particular this branch! Store: What I love most about this particular store, which you can't replicate at other retail stores or malls, is that it has large windows with lots of natural light. SO IMPORTANT! I hate trying on makeup at a store, thinking it looks great, and then realizing that it doesn't blend/cover well at all by the time I'm in my car with the sun lighting my face. Do yourself a favor and walk to the window wall with a handheld mirror to inspect your makeup before purchasing any products. Makeup/Products: This is one of two places in Cleveland that sells Bobbi Brown products, which I absolutely love. They also carry Trish McEvoy, Laura Mercier, NARS, and Lune+Aster (Blue Mercury's line). All high-end quality lines. They also happen to have my favorite lip balm (Rosebud salve) which I'm hard pressed to find in any store. Service: I was quickly helped by a sales associate when I entered the store. She helped me decide which shade of corrector and concealer I needed and gave additional recommendations on other products I was interested in. Also, since I am South Asian, I like that the woman who helped me was black. Not that I mind being helped by white people, but I do think that colored women have a better grasp of what other colored women need in terms of makeup, so it's nice that they have a diverse team. Free goodies: Truthfully this won't apply to most shoppers, but I happened to be there when they were celebrating their 16th anniversary and the launch of their own makeup line (Lune+Aster). As a result I got champagne, a cupcake, and a free bag of product samples on my way out!

So, there's just not much of a motivation for me to go into one of these places. Unless, a Christmas gift is needed, time is tight, and the budget is less than $100. So, I tried Sephora to accomplish this errand, and was very happy that I did. On entering the store, I wasn't bowled over by that overpowering odor of a million aromatic hydrocarbons entering your nostrils. Good ventilation I suppose. I was greeted by a Sephora Associate in just the right amount of time, and they had a couple of options for me almost right away. And, the item was on sale. Bonus. Checkout was a breeze, and they carefully wrapped up the purchase saving me time from having to finish that chore later. This store may have cured me of a lifelong aversion to getting even close to a cosmetics store. Fast, professional service, pleasant people to work with, and fair prices. And, no overwhelming smell! Thanks Sephora.

Sephora at the Beachwood Mall is ready for the holidays with shelves full of gift sets, festive…read morecrowd, and sparkling makeup. The store is most conveniently accessible via the main mall entrance (by CoHatch), it's on the first floor. It's your usual Sephora experience - well illuminated skincare/makeup and premier brands. INVENTORY: This Sephora has your expected assortment of beauty brands. I've noticed that they are now conveniently labeled at the top of the section. It's so easy to spot exactly what you need! Despite great selection, I stopped shopping at Sephora years ago due to my favorite brands pulled from the inventory. For instance, Origins is my favorite skincare brand but is now discontinued at Sephora. As a result, despite my love for the brand, I'm no longer a loyal shopper. I'm now in my clean gal era, and purchased one of my favorites - Fresh tinted lip balm in peony color ($26). It matched my makeup very well for the evening. It's always natural looking - no makeup look. MAKEUP SERVICES: I just stopped in for makeup services ($30 + tip) at the Beauty Studio at Sephora. I pre-booked online and was able to get evening appointment close to my occasion. You can pre-book various services online. I used to frequently drop in at other locations to get eye makeup done, it was quick and budget-friendly. Some of the makeup artists at Sephora locations are extremely gifted. I didn't have time or interest in full face of makeup although it was offered. Main reason is I'm very fair and Sephora's team very rarely can match foundation well. My eye makeup appointment was very expeditious (about 30 minutes). Did I get what I want? Absolutely not! I indicated what I wanted in an appointment form and during the appointment. I wanted bright emerald eyes to match my party's theme - The Emerald City. Did I get something I liked? Yes. I got a very subdued smokey eye and sparkly green eyeliner. It was very well and tastefully done but wasn't my vision at all. The makeup artist mentioned that bright eyes would be too bright with no full face of makeup. The main reason my look was impossible was because Sephora doesn't carry bright colors and leans into current fashion - naked eye. This seems like a huge miss considering it's holiday time and us gals want to sparkle. I can't believe that I'm the only one wanting bright pop eyes. I wish that products used were discussed with me during the appointment. Genuinely speaking I was only somewhat satisfied with my look. Very nice makeup artist, cute look, but not what I wanted. I'm unlikely to do another makeup look based on the makeup variety and looks. It's just not worth the investment if I can't achieve what I want. SERVICE: The service at the store wasn't so good. I wandered around the store for a while and no one offered assistance. Upon entry to the store, the employee at the door couldn't understand what service I'm visiting for. She was not friendly. I didn't at all get good impression about sales associates on the sales floor. The line was also moving painfully slow. At the same time, my makeup artist was quite friendly, was able to check me out right at the Beauty Studio. I appreciated her kindness. Overall, I'm not confident that I'll return to this store. There are a few Sephora locations that I love, but this store is not among them. I'm more likely to hire a makeup artist next time than visit this location. If you're looking for a specific brand offered by Sephora and want a quick transaction, it's an easy location to visit.

They made an effort to be attentive and polite, which I truly appreciated. However, the managers demeanor was noticeably different. They came across quite bossy toward both the staff and us as customers which made the atmosphere feel a bit uncomfortable at times. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the quality of the nail work. My fingernails turned out, lumpy and uneven, and the cuticle trimming was painful, rather than gentle and careful. The toe polish also appears lumpy from what I can see, which was not the smooth finish I expected. On a positive note, the callus removal was excellent probably the best part of the service the foot and leg massage was OK though nothing particularly special The pricing felt outrageous for the level of quality provide provided, and I was especially frustrated that there was no itemized breakdown on the receipt. Transparency and pricing would have been helpful Overall, while the staff friendliness was a highlight, the quality of the nail service and the pricing left me disappointed

I called the Lush in Beachwood and a young man answered. He said hold on and came back on the line and said, we have a couple. He asked me if I wanted him to hold one, I said I don't know yet. I convinced my husband to drive 40 minutes to get this bar. On my way I called and the same person responded. He told me he found some more to be safe they'll be there for me. As soon as I got there this nice young lady walked me over to what I needed. She spoke to me about the After Magnesium Bar. At that time a young man walked up to us, I quickly recognized his voice. I told him I was the person who called, he said I knew you would come in. We spoke about other bars to help sleep. After he helped my husband with shampoo, conditioner, lip balm etc. His name is KJ and he was one of the nicest, knowledgeable, customer service oriented people I've met. A thousand percent I recommend this store! The products; The Wiccy Magic Muscles feels great so far. It's one of those things that you don't know how much it helped until you don't use it. The After Magnesium good for after workout, the young girl says it has been good for backache. I'm using for pain as well. The Cherry Gum lip balm you can feel the true ingredients that last. Doesn't have that waxy feel of an inexpensive lip balm. Shampoo and Conditioner - So far so good. KJ and Team - Thank you for all you do to help your customers. You treated us like we were the only people in the store. Keep it up! Both of you! IMPORTANT!!!! - Please be careful as there are several websites stating they are the official site for Lush! They hook people with 75% discounts, the website is spelled wrong. That is why I had to go purchase from a physical store, I didn't trust the website. Their true website is www.lush.com that's all!
