As we entered, several associates were standing in a group near the front, but no one greeted us or welcomed us into the store. While that alone isn't a huge issue, I overheard one employee comment about my niece wearing a birthday sash in what came across as a rude, annoyed tone. It immediately made us feel uncomfortable, especially since we were there to celebrate her. Not once did an associate check on us or ask if we needed help. Multiple employees walked past us (literally passing us on the aisle) several times, and I watched them stop to ask other customers if they needed assistance while completely ignoring us. At checkout, Lina was polite and kind, and I appreciated her friendliness. However, when the associate at the neighboring register called "next," we explained that we were together. She simply turned around and walked away without saying a word. Overall, I was hoping to make this a fun birthday outing for my niece, but instead we left feeling unwelcome. She's 8 years old and it was disappointing to see a group of women make no effort to acknowledge her, especially on her birthday. For comparison, we stopped at Sephora across the street , and their team went above and beyond to make her feel special. The difference in customer service was night and day.

Not sure why people are freaking out about having to pay to see a specialist or put a card on file....... It is precautionary for the business as people will schedule and not show for their appts, regularly. Dermatologists notoriously take months to get in to see. If someone no shows most people waiting to get in cannot drop everything & come in... I require a form of payment on file for new clients or clients who are inconsistent as a salon owner b/c there is a cost to do business even if someone doesn't show. Idk. Maybe I'm insensitive *shrugs. Anyway, I've been in at least 3 times for various skin concerns, and the staff have all been helpful, kind, and communicative. I'm very particular about my brows and she accommodated all of my needs. She made sure that what she was doing was what I want her to do. She also offered to put makeup on my brows using Benefit products but I declined because it was pretty late at night and I was just going home anyway. But, if you book your appointment in the middle of the day and have somewhere to go afterwards, then take her up on her offer. You're eyebrows will be on fleek! :) However, the pricing is pretty hefty for waxing. It's probably the most expensive brow place in Norman. Also, one thing that somewhat throws me off is that they wax you in the middle of the store while seated. It's kind of awkward when the store is busy and there's a lot of people browsing the Benefit counters. Some (mostly little kids shopping with their moms) will even stare and watch as you are getting waxed. Additionally, Ulta gets pretty hectic some days especially if they have an event so I recommend going on a weekday and booking an appointment in the morning if you want to try this place out. I like this place, but you can get your money's worth somewhere else. My current aesthetician charges a third of what the Benefit Brow Bar charges. Plus, you get to lay down and relax; the atmosphere is zen and calm (which you cannot find inside Ulta).
