Quality Performance was used to trim a laurel hedge and remove a tree on the property line with my…read moreneighbors. The trimming and tree removal went fine, but they neglected to trim about 6 ft of the laurel hedge. In the written estimate that all parties agreed to it stated "reduce laurel to 10ft." When I called Quality Performance to discuss finishing the laurel job they explained that the whole hedge was not part of the estimate. I explained that nowhere in the estimate did it say they would not trim back the entire hedge. They began blaming my neighbor for the miscommunication when it is Quality Performance's responsibility to clearly indicate what is to be completed in the estimate. When I read "reduce laurel to 10ft" I assumed that meant the entire hedge and not a partial job. The worst part of working with this company was their customer service. What is clearly their responsibility they turned back around on me and my neighbors and were not open to listening or making the situation right. I will not work with this company again and I recommend anyone deciding to use them to be extremely clear in their written communication about what is to be completed in the job.

We have used Philip at Baltazar Tree Service twice now, and both experiences have been outstanding…read more Finding someone who is professional, knowledgeable, reliable, and honest can be difficult these days, but Philip checks every box. From the first phone call to the completion of the job, communication was excellent. He is always prompt, courteous, and responsive, and his pricing is fair and transparent. Most importantly, he truly knows his craft. During our most recent project, we wanted to remove a large branch from one of our trees. Rather than simply doing what we requested and collecting a paycheck, Philip took the time to explain that removing the branch could seriously damage the tree and potentially cause it to die. His willingness to put the health of the tree ahead of making an extra dollar speaks volumes about his integrity and expertise. The quality of his work is exceptional, and he leaves the property remarkably clean when the job is finished. You would hardly know a tree crew had been there except for the beautifully maintained trees. Philip clearly takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about his customers. It is rare to find a contractor who combines such professionalism, honesty, skill, and customer service. We have trusted him twice and will continue to call Baltazar Tree Service for any future tree work. I highly recommend Philip to anyone looking for a knowledgeable arborist and a company that consistently exceeds expectations.

We hired Gil and his team based on recommendation from our neighbors. We had found several…read morebusinesses on Yelp and had already received several quotes. We selected Gil because he showed he's passionate about the jobs he takes on and really cares about making customers happy. From the first call, Gil was friendly, prompt and communicated well. He came out for an initial bid, just a few days after our first call. A few weeks later, Gil and two techs arrived on site at our home. They brought all manner of tools to complete the job: ladders and ropes as needed and this super nifty bucket crawler tool to navigate our yard and reach our oak, maple and arborvitae without damaging our lawn or landscaping. In addition to the tree trimming, High Top took care of stump grinding for two old stumps that have been in our yard since before we moved in. Overall, we are super happy with the job done, care paid, and the value for the price paid and services received. We will call Gil again in the future and would recommend him to our friends and neighbors.
