His crew was very clean and minimized disruption in our house. I just moved into a tiny home on wheels in Oct 2020. Leave it to my mojo, the ceiling fan started going haywire about a month in. The light started flashing, repeated clicking sounds, etc. I turned it off and called my man, Dustin. He worked me into the schedule and sent out his assistant, Mac, a certified Journeyman electrician, and I wasn't surprised that Dustin hired him (and continues to grow his electrician skills). Mac is an amazing electrical sleuth! He had to work in a tight area up at my 13' ceiling to figure out what happened. Somehow, the installer had allowed a wire to hang into the motor area - it was cut clean-thru - and Mac also found that a ground wire wasn't attached, as well. I couldn't recommend both Dustin and Mac more highly. Not only are they knowledgeable, but they also work fast and are unbelievably personable. Mac wore a mask and was very aware of social distancing. I will never use anyone but Pro Circuit Electrical as long as I live in the Bellingham area!

I have used Express Electric three times for my residential electrical needs. The first was to…read moreinstall wiring form my (then) new flat screen television. This was 5 years ago. They fished AV wiring through the walls and attic and also brought in 110 volt power over the fire place through the same attic. The results were excellent! They worked on an hourly basis but came in slightly under the hour estimate. The second time was to install timer light switches on my outdoor lights for security purposes. They came up with a wall switch replacement with a tiny computer on-board that knows the sunset and sunrise times and adjusts the on-off times accordingly. I didn't know such a device existed. Cost me about $500 for parts and labor. One of my best purchases. I used to go around and turn lights on and off. Now they work by themselves, especially when I am on vacation. The third time was to have repairs to my low voltage outdoor lighting and some faulty light switches. Yes, I could have done this myself. But, I only have so much time. Express is fair in their charges and their electricians don't waste any time. I have had good luck with Express Electric and recommend them.

If you have ever looked for a contractor, I'm sure you know what it's like (e.g., they may not call you back, may ghost on you, and most likely they overcharge you). Nate from Illuminate Pro Electric was totally different. As I elaborate below, Nate was a game changer. He was responsive; he showed up when he said he would; his rate was more than reasonable. ILLUMINATE PRO ELECTRIC Nate is an experienced licensed electrician (of course, insured and bonded). I highly recommend you to go to his website and read about his business. One thing to keep in mind, as mentioned on the website, he is the owner and the operator (i.e., no employees). So, he may or may not be available (when you need his service). I was lucky. I sent him a message through his website. Nate responded to me the same day, and it just so happened that he was available for the type/size of job I needed help with. COMMUNICATION Very responsive. After the initial message I sent to him, we exchanged a couple of emails and texts back and forth. As it turned out, he was available next day, and he did show up at the time he promised. It worked out great for me, but please have a realistic expectation as he has to do everything for his business. JOB PERFORMED Nate moved the 220v outlet behind the stove for me. He had to cut part of the wall, but he fixed the wall too. I cannot be happier with his work. COST His hourly rate was more than reasonable. He had to go out to get material to fix the wall, but he did not charge me for the time to go get the material. The total amount I paid (hourly labor and parts) was clearly lower than a few other bids I had received from other companies in town. Billing was easy and transparent. He emailed me an invoice with a link for payment. I just used my credit card. No extra fees or anything. His invoice was itemized (i.e., materials used and their costs along with his hourly rate). FINAL WORDS I appreciate Nate's professionalism. He is not only an experienced electrician but has a very high work ethics. He is upfront and transparent. He's professional, but not an uptight way. He's actually very personable. It was clear to me that he was eager to help me. When a homeowner is looking for a contractor, whether an electrician or a plumber, we are stressed out. He responded very quickly. We told him we wanted an outdoor dawn to dusk security light installed but really didnt know what options we had. Nate explained what could be done , gave us suggestions as to what he thought was best and gave us a very reasonable bid. He explained his work situation to us and was able to complete the job, as well as replacing an indoor fixture, in a very timely manner. In addition to doing an excellent job he was kind enough to tell us he would bill our home warranty policy for a portion of the work he performed. This saved us over 100 dollars.
