Zach initially came to our home over the weekend to assess the project of installing ground wiring from our house to the outdoor shed. We were looking to add more outlets and a dedicated outlet for a deep freeze. From our first conversation, Zach was responsive, super-friendly, and was highly prepared both on the phone and in person. After his visit, he provided a quote for the work, and it was half the cost compared to the other company. We set a date and Zach and his colleague were punctual and started the work immediately. Even with some issues they had to overcome and figure out due to the house being older, as well as being very accommodating to our specific requests regarding placement of outlets and panels in the shed, they completed the job in one day - tested all outlets in the shed, gave us a detailed run through of the project and results, cleaned up and they were on their way. We are extremely happy with the work they did and I would highly recommend Pacific Current Electric for your electrical needs.

Nate from Illuminate Pro Electric was totally different. As I elaborate below, Nate was a game changer. He was responsive; he showed up when he said he would; his rate was more than reasonable. ILLUMINATE PRO ELECTRIC Nate is an experienced licensed electrician (of course, insured and bonded). I highly recommend you to go to his website and read about his business. One thing to keep in mind, as mentioned on the website, he is the owner and the operator (i.e., no employees). So, he may or may not be available (when you need his service). I was lucky. I sent him a message through his website. Nate responded to me the same day, and it just so happened that he was available for the type/size of job I needed help with. COMMUNICATION Very responsive. After the initial message I sent to him, we exchanged a couple of emails and texts back and forth. As it turned out, he was available next day, and he did show up at the time he promised. It worked out great for me, but please have a realistic expectation as he has to do everything for his business. JOB PERFORMED Nate moved the 220v outlet behind the stove for me. He had to cut part of the wall, but he fixed the wall too. I cannot be happier with his work. COST His hourly rate was more than reasonable. He had to go out to get material to fix the wall, but he did not charge me for the time to go get the material. The total amount I paid (hourly labor and parts) was clearly lower than a few other bids I had received from other companies in town. Billing was easy and transparent. He emailed me an invoice with a link for payment. I just used my credit card. No extra fees or anything. His invoice was itemized (i.e., materials used and their costs along with his hourly rate). FINAL WORDS I appreciate Nate's professionalism. He is not only an experienced electrician but has a very high work ethics. He is upfront and transparent. He's professional, but not an uptight way. He's actually very personable. It was clear to me that he was eager to help me. When a homeowner is looking for a contractor, whether an electrician or a plumber, we are stressed out. He responded very quickly. We told him we wanted an outdoor dawn to dusk security light installed but really didnt know what options we had. Nate explained what could be done , gave us suggestions as to what he thought was best and gave us a very reasonable bid. He explained his work situation to us and was able to complete the job, as well as replacing an indoor fixture, in a very timely manner. In addition to doing an excellent job he was kind enough to tell us he would bill our home warranty policy for a portion of the work he performed. This saved us over 100 dollars. Everyone I was in contact with was extraordinarily kind, patient, and thorough. And very willing to listen carefully and address my concerns. As usual, I wanted weird stuff. I researched and ordered my own light fixtures & switches. Fernando was willing to look online at what I was proposing and make sure it would actually work. I put off the job till I had all the pieces actually in the house and ready to install. The crew protected my home from the necessary mess, and cleaned up completely. They let me watch. They explained each step of the way and made sure I understood. They were welcoming when I needed to check in with Fernando as the job progressed. They installed our system in summer of 2024 and we have never regretted it. When the Skagit Valley has big storms or high winds, the power goes out, and they designed our backup battery system to manage all of our must haves for poe, like refrigerator, garage doors, some key lights, our wifi, septic system etc. In other words, when the power went, out we barely noticed.
