It took longer than I had liked to get a response, but I did hear back from them. I was told to call the office or send an email; so, I emailed them a short description of the work with a picture. The entire process of getting an estimate took 2 business days. I requested an estimate via Yelp Sunday afternoon and received their bid Tuesday afternoon. I decided not to go with Bode's Electric because their estimate was on the higher side among the several estimates I received. In fact, their estimate along with a few others were significantly higher than a couple of bids from other companies in town (more than double). Note: Although they are listed as different companies, Bode's and West Mechanical appear to be the same company. All aspects of the work are done efficiently and professionally, and for a reasonable price. Booking appointments and billing is very easy and streamlined. Pro Circuit Electrical have done quite a few projects for me including modernizing bathroom electrical outlets, replacing light fixtures, installing bath fans, dimmers, installing a video doorbell and connecting it to the existing chime. And an urgent appointment for a beeping smoke detector up on a 14 foot ceiling. All of the electricians who have worked on my house have been competent, friendly and very professional. As the only customer in the store I waited about five minutes while the staff went on about their own conversations and BS'ing without the slightest hint of acknowledgment toward me. I finally asked if I should go somewhere else because I felt like maybe my desire to hand over a hundred bucks of hard earned cash to them was getting in their way, to which someone begrudgingly got up from behind their desk to go find the least surly employee they had to help me. I explained to him my situation and said I wasn't sure which gauge wire I needed and he said he couldn't help me decide that... so I bought the hardware I thought I needed and quit the place fairly fuming. I decided to stop by Hardware Sales just to see if I could get some actual advice on what I was doing and the fellow there was more than kind, helpful, and knowledgable pointing me in the right direction and helping me to realize that the parts that I bought from Platt were in fact not what I needed at all. Platt was useless, a waste of time, and infuriating. Nothing like the feeling of a bunch of holier than thou contractors and desk jockeys looking down upon the lowly homeowner trying to learn something for himself. What a greasy bag of dicks.
