Mubuhay Lounge is located in Terminal One of NAIA Airport. I was happy to be in the lounge after 10 hours of venturing around Manila. I was tired and really needed a shower and food.
The lounge is quite big. When you enter, it's a long hallway, and you see a sitting area on both sides divided by rooms/section. The food/beverage area is all the way at the end. It's not the best design because you see a lot of people walking up and down the hall. After we got settled, I took a shower right away. It's a full bathroom with toilet, sink, vanity area, and, of course, a shower. It was spacious, clean with towels, and all the toiletries you will need.
The food was decent, 3.5/5 - kind of a hit or miss. A nice selection of sandwiches, hot food (chicken, pancit, shui mai, etc.), desserts (halo halo, cookies, and mini fruit cups). I prefer hot food (in a warmer) whenever I'm in the airport lounge, instead of a salad, because I don't know how long that has been sitting there in the open. The shrimp shui mai was pretty good, but the pancit and the chicken lollipop weren't good at all.
I ordered a Mabuhay Sangria (cocktail) from the bar, and it looked and tasted like a Shirley Temple. I took one sip and didn't want it at all. I felt bad because the bartender was super nice and delivered the drink to my seat. (Tip: You can ask for bottled water at the bar.)
Excellent service. I constantly see staff cleaning up and replenishing items. Overall, it was a very nice lounge to relax before your flight. read more
