We have a large, rustic property that has very rough terrain, and we are trying to turn it into our home. We needed to create outdoor living space and correct some significant problems with drainage and elevation. Before we started work with Two Men & A Hoe, we had some ideas of what we wanted to achieve, but we thought everything about our property was either too expensive or impossible. As soon as they started work, they quickly made us realize that nothing was really impossible, and there were many solutions within our budget. From that point onward, they took every idea we had and made it better than what we had even hoped. They solved problems and provided creative ideas to generate options beyond what we thought possible. All the while, they were very mindful of our time and our budget. Since our fist job with them, we have had them out several times as our ideas have grown, and we will probably have them out again for future projects. The end result is this: we are simply overjoyed. Before Two Men & A Hoe, our outdoor space was not usable. Their skills and problem solving have created outdoor living spaces that we now enjoy every single day. Their work is simply awesome. There is no better way to describe it.

When getting an estimation: Owner (Joseph) was very knowledgeable and listens to what you are…read morewanting/needing done. Arrived an hour after scheduled meet time but wasn't that big of a deal in my case, luckily didn't have nothing else to do. Day of job: They had to start the job at a later time than originally scheduled. When one of the workers finally arrived, I didn't even know he was there until I seen him riding the machine thru my window already in my yard working (wasn't the owner). So, they start work without letting you know they are even there. They work at a really fast pace which is wonderful!!!! Owner leaves randomly during the job to tend to other jobs (I'm assuming) while in the middle of a current job. Making it hard to verify anything if needed. Leaving the other workers unsure of what is needed. Just bad communication period. The communication overall is a HUGH LACK of. The communication between the owner & client is poor. Not so great between the owner & coworkers neither. The other workers didn't even know what I was talking about when telling them certain info. Obviously something I had talked to the owner about. VERY VERY disappointed with the lack of communication. Communication goes a LONG way with me. If there's NONE, you've lost me. The outcome of the job itself: (8 out of 10) Overall it was done but could have been better. Not totally what I visualized but almost. So decent enough for what my plans are. Also, doesn't get the job done in timeframe that is told. As far as recommending, I won't be and wouldn't for my own personal reasons. I wouldn't use them again.
