This place has a lot of knick knacks you would need for all around the house. My friend came here looking for a large metal mixing bowl for a DIY project and was able to find a large assortment of sizes for pretty decent prices. This is a great store. I love looking at all the dishes and teapots and chopsticks (although I've yet to buy any). What I typically go here is for small kitchen gadgets. Today I bought a funnel and tongs. I've been here a dozen or more times, and only once did I not find what I was looking for. And best of all, it's inexpensive. I specifically didn't say cheap, because the products are better quality than the "cheap" stuff that I buy at the grocery store. It's a great local business with nice staff. Definitely check it out. So on my weekend trip home, I had to pick up an Asian broom and a Vietnamese coffee drip press. Check out their selection of knives--I know it won't last, but at $2.35, i can afford to replace the small, super-sharp knife I bought as soon as it dulls. I quickly put my new bamboo steamer to use making nikuman, and now they're sitting in my new bento-style lunchbox waiting to be eaten. Great place to get cheap kitchen goods. Nothing too fancy, but they do sell some gimmick items. Saw a cheap looking mandolin for like 30 bucks. Overall a great place to pick up some kitchen essentials. Picked up my chinois, roasting sheets/tins, strainer, gravy tin, grater, and some other stuff I can't remember for around 50 bucks here. We stopped into MV Trading Co to pickup some new dinnerware and kitchenware for an upcoming party. This place has a good selection of home goods and the prices are pretty reasonable. I wouldn't say they are the cheapest, but I wouldn't say they are the most expensive as well. The walkways here are a little tight so you have to be carefully. If you break their items then you are responsible. On this trip, we were able to find everything we wanted. We got some plates and dispensers. I was the 2nd person in line and another register opened and checked me out. read more

Stay away. They are dishonest, the staff is hostile, and the majority of their products are defective. Also, they always try to extort money from any unsuspecting kids or older ladies by either overcharging or falsely accusing them of breaking one of the store items. BUYERS BEWARE!!! BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! I WOULD GIVE THIS STORE ZERO STARS BUT THAT IS NOT AND OPTION ON YELP. This is a horrible place to shop. On Saturday 10/16/10 i purchased a rotating food slicer for my mom and it didn't work. The receipt clearly says "No refunds, return only" within 7 days, so I brought it in today (only 3 days after purchased) to swap for a new one. The clerk told me, I can't swap for a new one and that I have to take a lesser priced item and he'll give me store credit for the balance because he can't sell the item because its broken. When I went to grab my lesser priced item, another clerk put the defective item back on the self to sell as new. I asked him why he would be putting a defective item back on the shelf and sell as new when whoever buys it in the future would end up returning it, and he said, "none of your business". My time is too valuable to me to argue with the clerk, so I left. I'm also going to report him and this store to tje better business bureau. read more

Beware buyers! Though you may find lots of hard-to-find Asian gadgets and kitchen wares here, the quality is poor and there is no exchange policy what so ever even though the product was defective when you bought it. I bought a mahjong table from there, it is the only place to get one that I know of. The table was in a box so I did not inspect it until I got home. When I opened the box, the table leg that was screwed to the bottom of the table fell off. I took it back and the owner just insisted that we had broken it when we opened it up. And he said he always let the customer inspect the product before selling. He's such a irresponsible businessman and liar! So whenever you buy something there, make sure there is not a single scratch on it. Because if you find it later at your house, forget about getting exchange or refund. I love coming here because I usually can find what I'm looking for. If you need random kitchen gadgets, I would highly recommend checking out this store. Things I've found here cheaper than on Amazon and not available at other Asian markets like 99 Ranch: -Fish bone tongs -Wok spatula. I didn't even know the wok had its own spatula. They have metal and wooden ones for under $5. Amazing! Also highly recommended when wok cooking! -Egg molds- star and heart shaped. So kawaii! -Plastic basket strainers- less than a dollar. Love it for rinsing small portions of fruit They also have cute ceramics but I don't think the fiance will allow me to bring home any more useless bowls and cups lol. read more

Came in to purchase a replacement Wok, we found one that was right for us and was $20.99. Decided to leave the wok on the counter to walk around the shop for more kitchen supplies. Unable to find anything else that we needed and went back to the counter. The guy then charged us $30.99 for the wok. I asked how come the price tag over there was $20.99. He said because it was "special", then I asked my fiance to go look at the other woks shelf she said $20.99. I also offered to meet half way for the misprint on price tag at $24.99 but he replied "No it was misprinted". He asked the lady at the store to go check, she said $30.99, however when the lady left the wok on the counter the price tag also said $20.99. SHE also had LIED. He said that this one was misprinted and was unable to honor $20.99 even though they were the EXACT item. I placed the $30.99 to the side and took the $20.99. Ultimately he just rung up the $20.99. INSANE. Makes me wonder if he changed the price at the counter. read more

The worst company I have dealt with in a long time. Thankfully their poor business ethic did not cost me very much money. I purchased what they advertised as a "Commercial steamer rack" to use with a very expensive stainless steel pot I had just purchased elsewhere. The very first time I used the so called "steamer rack" it rusted while still being used and even damaged my new pot's surface. OK, faulty product, simple refund issue, right?..........Wrong! MV trading company's response was incredible. Basically they said that since they never claimed it wouldn't rust the first time I used it they wouldn't refund the purchase price. The woman I dealt with came across as either incredibly dishonest, incredibly greedy and unethical, or incredibly stupid and I wouldn't venture as to which it was. They even went so far as to suggest that I should have asked whether it would rust before buying it! Amazing! I would suggest you think long and hard before spending anything more than the $12 that they stole from me. They will not stand by their customer and they are perfectly willing to knowingly sell faulty products and refuse a refund. I am only glad it wasn't a high price item they stuck me with. BE WARNED: If you buy personal items here, they may be used by (what I assume was) the owner. Short Story: The woman behind the register wouldn't talk to me, listen to me or acknowledge me. Instead, she used brand new nail clippers and one-by-one HIT ME WITH HER FINGER NAIL CLIPPINGS. I'm 99% sure that the clippers went back into the bin with the others afterwards. When I pointed out that they hit me, she kept clipping in my direction, which leads me to believe it was intentional. Disgusting, disrespectful, no concern for hygiene or decency. I will NEVER go back. Long story: When I first stepped into this place, I thought it was great! A friend and I were browsing around, there are lots of fun items and cute/handy things and restaurant supply items. I had planned on coming back to purchase some knives, they have a wide selection and good prices. I had a few small items to pay for, they totaled $9. I didn't see the sign at first that said $15 minimum for credit card purchase. I did ask the woman at the register if she could just ring me up, I mean come on....you have the credit card machine, all you have to do is ring it up. Anyway, that's their rule and I'm not going to push it, I don't own the place. Fine. But what really made me mad is that she wouldn't even look me in the face as I was talking to her. It must have been clear to her that I wasn't going to add another $6 to my order, so she was through with us. I wasnt rude at all about it, I was talking like a normal human. Instead, she pulled a BRAND NEW nail clipper out from the 'for sale' items next to the register. There are boxes of them for purchase. She grabbed a brand new one, and started clipping her nails. THE FINGERNAIL CLIPPING HIT ME. I was shocked, I thought that for sure it was a gross mistake. I kind of stammered, "um...excuse me! That hit me!!" She didn't acknowledge me, continued to ignore me, didn't even look up...instead, SHE CLIPPED ANOTHER ONE. SHE HIT ME AGAIN! I don't have proof that it was intentional, but her clippings hit me one after another, and she wouldn't listen or look at us...as I was telling her that her nails were hitting me! That is SO DISGUSTING and horrifying that I really didn't know what to do. I left the stuff on the counter, loudly told her how rude and disgusting it was, and we left. Folks, really, this is just too much. Not only was she incredibly disrespectful, and rude, but that's just SO GROSS. I don't have proof, but I can't help but think that the nail clipper went right back into the bin of items for sale. So be warned: if you even consider buying personal healthcare items, or kitchen items here, you are buying items from someone who showed no respect for healthcare or hygiene. I'm not a picky, needy person...I favor independent shops and restaurants, those little gems of places that look like holes in the wall. I have worked in customer service for years and love working and interacting with people. But the level of disregard for others, and for sanitary conditions, is really lacking at this place. Im so glad that they are open on Sundays! I called countless restaurant supply stores and they were all closed. On the way over, seems that everyone driving in the same direction are late for something. Many cars were driving about 10-15 miles above speed limit. I'm not trying to die people, slow down. Some prices were higher than others as they should althought I dont necessary agree with the the price hike. Plastic funnel 0.50 stainless steel funnel same size 11.99 - if you dont own a restaurant and its for personal use opt. for the plastic. :) As simple as that. Yes, the aisles are very close together I had my daughters with me and I told them please keep your arms down at your sides at all times. If some thing falls the over packed aisles will come tumbling down. Whatever you do dont look up while you walk, just got the chills - literally a pack rats heaven. Stuff everywhere, step carefuly yet lively. At the end I found exactly what I was looking for clear condiment bottles. My friend is throwing a party and I hope to be able to help make the salads - salad is just leaves and tossed with other light veggies you might say. But no, I make my own salad dressings, yes I use a base and add on many things. Im hoping to make spicy chipotle bacon ranch dressing. For the southwest salads I intend on making. Dressing will be poured into condiment bottles since I couldnt find a bottle that looked similar to a salad dressing bottle. I purchased 5 that should be plenty. I can always refill them with more salad dressing. 5 condiment bottles = 5.00 1 Plastic Funnel = 0.50 total $6.46 Its a bit scary but it will have to do, if you have no other choice. Do look around and price items amongst themselves you can find real savings. I'll create the dressing Friday night fill them up, and Vouala! I like this place. There are a lot of things you would need if you have a restaurant, for cheap. (Cups, menu covers, aprons, wash bins, bowls, etc.) This place has a lot of random Asian stuff, and by random I really mean it. There are good luck charms, solar toys, Asian decorations, little phone charms, ponchos, and more random decor. But this place has literally anything you need for your kitchen. Some things are a bit expensive though. They also have those plastic birds that take out toothpicks for you. I like to come here to buy misc stuff, like chicken and fish good luck charms that they wouldn't have anywhere else. It's a bit old and shabby in there, but it's still good. read more

This place has a terrible business practice, bad customer service and rude lady owner. I had bought a 5.0 L hot water Zojirushi electric dispensing pot on 5/5/12, and realized that it's too big and went back on 5/8/12 to ask for a exchange to a smaller 4.0L dispensing pot. The original box had not been opened, let alone used. The lady owner refused to pay me back the difference for the exchange. She states that the policy is NO REFUND! EXCHANGE ONLY WITHIN 7 DAYS OF PURCHASED ITEMS MUST BE NEW, UNUSED CONDITION. While the owner will allow the exchange, she will not fund the difference and asked me to purchase something else for the difference. Not only that, she was very very rude when I started to challenge her unreasonable policy. First, when we initially purchased the pot, she did not inform us specificially of the no refund policy. The policy is printed on the receipt, so we only learn of it after getting the receipt after the transaction. However, it is not clearly stated that you do not get the difference back if you get an exchange. This is a terrible business practice. Don't support buying stuff from this place! read more

A BUNCH OF CROOKS! VISIT AT YOUR OWN RISK. I walked in today to take a look and found their items outrageously overpriced. A mug, for example, costs 14 dollars. What is more, things there are stacked precariously: lids are not fastened to the mugs; pots and pans are stacked at an angle, and the lanes are tiny...I saw a lady took a mug off the shelf and the lid just slid off (because there was a piece of paper under the lid, and the lid was not taped to the mug), the store keeper yelled at her and forced her to pay the full exhorbitant price of 14 dollars. I had ordered some tea cups to go with a tea pot i had got. They claimed they were the same brand ("happy sales") as my tea pot. When they came they were a very different green than my tea pot. I returned them. I had to pay the shipping. I also had to pay a restocking fee. When i got a notification that they were refunding my money they only refunded me for 3 cups when i had oreded 4. This was my 2nd visit to this store since I needed to grab some of the Chinese-store stuff. I came in with the stroller and my newborn baby in it.) There were no visible customers in the store at that time. I noticed that right away the male salesman adjusted his computer of video surveillance and started to instruct the female salesperson to look at the screen. It didn't feel so good but whatever. I picked a few things at the beginning of the aisles and was heading out shortly (the space in between aisles is too narrow for the stroller to fit in.) The woman checked me out, previously helping me to locate one of the items I was looking for. She sensed that I was in a rush to leave because of the baby. When I came home, I checked the receipt. ( she charged me $33.34) for a few thins. On the receipt you cannot understand what you're paying for, but I located priced on what I bought. I bought total of 5 items and was charged for 7. $1.99 and $2.50 extra on my receipt. which I should have checked right in the store. The worst experience ever. It looks like to have everything on display but if you only restaurant and need large quantity ,don't even think about it. Beware don't let them sucker you into telling you about having more inventory in the warehouse the fact is they don't even have a warehouse. What you see is pretty much what you get and no guarantee if they have it or not so good luck if you need anything more than 30. I normally don't shop there. For sure will never shop there again. If you are a restaurant owner be sure you go to a bigger place because this place does not have all the stuff that you want. Be sure to not believe that they would deliver to your store because once you walk out and they have your money. Is done deal ..they will not call you and for sure they are not going to delivered to you. They just want to sucker you into buying what they have in the inventory and that's it. if you're a kitchen gadget and asian dish freak like i am, this store is a must. it's not a large store, but it's packed from floor to ceiling with stuff. they have some of the same dish patterns that you can find at sur la table, for much less. of course they have the generic plastic asian restaurant dishes too. i had to contain myself from going to crazy. with the pots, pans, knives, kitchen utensils, etc. they also had the bialeti latte maker that i've been eyeing out-- for way less than i've seen it at crate and barrel or peet's. read more

A man behind the counter would not accept a purchase with Visa for less than $15, but I pointed out to him that this was illegal. He immediately gave me a very bad attitude & forced me to pay with cash instead. A credit card usage law was passed back in 2010 requiring merchants to not impose a minimum purchase for no more than $10 if paid with a credit card. This merchant not only broke the law but also being rude to their customer in a barbaric way. I wouldn't surprise even if they know the recent credit law, they wouldn't have comply anyway. I was met by two employees or maybe both were owners using broken English to rudely mistreated me. Don't get me wrong, I'm an immigrant from Hong Kong myself & I don't speak perfect English either. It was this kind of behavior that people think Asians are cheap, unreasonable, and barbaric when it come to customer service. My purchased date was 3/8/2014 on Saturday. read more
