I guess the fact that I was dress in office work clothes she assumed I had no idea what I was speaking about. She was short and condescending. I was challenged on trade terminology. When I asked to confirm how many "boards" I ordered, she gave me the number of "studs". I am sorry "boards, not "studs". Her response was and I quote " a 2x4 is a board. It is a piece of wood, so it is a board". I asked her what do you call a 4 x 8 piece of sheetrock. Really? This is your challenging response at 8am. I do everything to support the few small local businesses eft. It's unappreciative attitudes like this that make it hard. Maybe I should have walked across the street to the big store. While many of the tiles offered are on the higher end pricewise, there are some good deals to be had-- especially on discontinued lines. The sales staff is helpful, which in my experience is unusual for a tile store. Most of the tile has to be shipped from California so there is generally a several week lead time, but it is worth the wait. The tiles are high quality and they stand behind their product.
