This is a neat little salon located in the strip mall next to Patel Brothers and Vaishnov Bhog. The owner's name Sofia. She consulted with me first to see if my hair could handle a chemical treatment and we set up an appointment for the weekend. I got a call an hour before the appointment saying she'd be delayed and then an hour later saying she had to cancel. Bummer. But her stylist who called to keep me informed did apologize for the inconvenience and set me up for another day. I wanted purple hair with some gold highlights. After discussing, Sofia got increasingly creative and I rolled with her ideas because 1) she tells you she knows what she is doing and that she is good at it 2) hair is a creative business where I let a stylist shine. I had a budget I had to keep. Based on my iridescent colored hair, you can tell she put her heart in it. She knew I wasn't here for a bargain but she respectfully kept her committed price to me and went on to give me a lot more than I'd asked for. I had called ahead to ask if I could Bring my own beer- to that I was told sure but we do have wine. When I got there, I realized she was out of wine and actually sent someone out to buy wine to keep her word! My I felt bad, but it turned out to be a 6 hour hair process and I'm glad she accommodated me! The processing was followed by corrections and additions of what she didn't think was perfection. Then she gave me a wonderful hair cut. Colors which have lasted well and are fading rather wonderfully well (I got "fancy" colors which typically are a disaster as they fade). I have been going to M & S Spa and Salon for the past 4-5 years or so and I love Sophie aunty's work. I have gone to her for hair treatments, hair coloring, facials, and eyebrow threading. I have gotten my eyebrows done at other places but no one does it as good as Sophie aunty. Every single time she does my eyebrows, she does an amazing job at it. She has also helped me a lot with gaining some of my hair thickness back and also styling it the way I want to. I plan to go back to her for another facial as the first facial she did left my skin glowing, relaxed, and dirt free. I believe her prices are also reasonable compared to several other places that I have been to. I highly recommend her for any salon and spa services!! read more

Worst ever salon! DO NOT COME HERE! 1. I waited 1.5 hour after having an appointment. No time management. Stupid attitude. No heads up if she was delayed 2. Not at all interested in her job. Don't deserve any business 3. Took 10 minutes to cut in a hurry. No hair wash, no blow dry , no combing hair or anything. 4. Charged 30$ and said it took 10 mins since they ONLY charged 30$. Is that even a justification? Name of the person was Sophia. If she is the one cutting your hair. Stay away from this person! Such places need to go out out of business. read more

Had an appointment on weekday noon time. There was 1 customer already there when I reached on time. Waited 40mns and still not called. What's the point of an appt?? So pathetic.. I ended up walking up and saying that i had to leave as my services won't finish on time since it has not been started.. very disappointed in the unprofessional of the owner . I have been going to this salon for more than 6 months and loved their service. They give very nice natural shape to my eyebrows without painful threading. I called this place around 2 PM on Sunday if they are open and can do haircut? The response was yes. Upon asking how long it would take to get the haircut done, I was told that it should take about an hour, and was asked to come at 5 PM. I reached the place by 5 PM where I had a quick chat on what kind of haircut I want. It appeared that there was another customer getting something done. I was told to wait for 10 minutes. However, I was kept waiting until 5:45 PM and no one from the establishment bothered to check on me. I asked a lady who appeared to be an employee over there that I have been waiting for 45 minutes now, and how much more do I have to wait. In response, the lady tells me that the place closes at 6 PM. Upon telling her again that I have an appointment scheduled at 5 PM she went in and brought the owner out. The owner asked me to wait for 15- 20 minutes more. Annoyed at the poor customer service, I decided to leave from there. The owner said she would give me call as soon as they are done and I can come back. The funny and sad part is that I got a call back at 7 PM from the owner. Few points for M&S spa - 1. So after waiting for 45 minutes you want me to wait for more? If you do not have resources to handle more than one customer, please don't schedule appointments. Earlier in the day, I had called another Salon for haircut and they were really honest in mentioning that they were booked for entire day and cannot schedule an appointment. 2. Value your customer's time and be professional. It didn't look like anybody at the establishment cared for who is waiting in the lobby. Had I not checked again after waiting for 45 minutes, I could have waited for over 2 hours with no one from the establishment bothering to check. 3. I am surely not going to M&S Spa nor going to recommend this place given the poor experience. Would rather take my business to a place that knows how to respect people and their time. read more
