After getting her car towed to Amarillo and attempting to get it repaired on Sunday to no avail, I turned to Yelp for help. I found a shop with great reviews for helping stranded travelers, especially on weekends. I fired off a message and accidentally turned it into a project which added Bryan's Auto and Body to my message. And it's a good thing because Bryan was the only response I ever got. He said they could definitely get it looked at, but it would be Monday. It didn't take long to see this was as good as it was gonna get. But it got better when, not only were they able to get it looked at on Monday, but were able to get the alternator and flywheel replaced on Monday. Melissa and Bryan were tremendously helpful. I drove up to Amarillo to get my daughter back to Albuquerque and was working with them through Yelp messages, emails and phone calls. I have a great mechanic in DFW that took me years to luck into, but managed to find the same level of service through Yelp in a faraway city through apps and phone calls when I didn't have a clue where to go. All seemed great until he was back home waiting, and waiting, and waiting. When he called to check on the progress it was all duck and dive. Never was it there inadequacy in the auto body world. It was always someone else, this or that routine every single time for six months. Finally the vehicle was repaired so they said. It was picked up and in no way was it any representation of what he was told about the quality of work offered. One of the worst stories of customer service I have heard let alone the shoddy work that was done. If you are ever in need of repairs please save yourself the same trouble and avoid Dickey's Body Shop at all cost. The promises are not worth a dime if they are not fulfilled.

Not knowing any auto body repair facilities in the area, we took the advice of the tow truck driver and let Dickey's do the repair work. Folks, DO NOT use this body shop. Less than a year after they completed the repairs, the paint started peeling off of the hood. We found out there was no primer used prior to painting. The replacement parts they used were sub-standard, and the vehicle was not put back together correctly. I have spent over $3000 fixing Dickey's fixes. Air conditioner was not reassembled correctly and was missing parts, chrome grill parts are cracking and peeling in addition to the paint issues. To add insult to injury, when we picked up the vehicle, the man told us his computer was down and he would have to mail us the detailed repair bill. Of course we've never received it.
