Many of the reviews on this website are quite old. Perhaps the enrollment has snowballed significantly in the past few years. As a first time adult I found the environment absolutely chaotic. It is difficult at best to watch your children, hear above the din and very little waiting seating. However the children seemed to really like their class as coaches and that's what it is all about anyway. read more

When we decided to leave our old gym, M&M was on my very short list of options. I had spent a few years coaching alongside other gyms and watched the way they interacted with their athletes and new the M&M was known for being encouraging as well as producing solid athletes. My daughter was very nervous and unsure about making the switch because she was leaving something that was familiar to her for the last six years. During her try out practice she received a warm welcome and left wanting to be signed up immediately. There were some things that took a little getting used to but I don't think you can expect any businesses to run exactly like their competition. Any time we had questions, we got answers from their friendly front desk staff. We've now got a full season under our belt and are very happy with our choice. For me, the biggest thing I noticed about M&M is the amount of respect given to the athletes by the coaches. I often come early to pick my daughter up and I have never heard a coach yell or say anything demeaning. She is up training a lot and enjoying practice again. There has been a complete shift in her confidence which has created a complete shift in her as a person. We are very happy with our decision and are excited to watch our girl continue to grow in the sport. read more

I have to say our enjoyment of this place totally depends on the coach. We go to Ms. Heather's class and she neglects my child worse and worse every time. She would not let my child a turn to go on a piece of equipment or simply shows no interest in how the act is done. Another thing that annoys me that she starts class 5 minutes late every time. So this means our children loose their 5 minutes of fun. Once we had a substitute teacher and it was a completely different experience. Started a class in time. The class had a very organized structure. My child was so excited and did all the acts so well and willingly. Something must be done to the air ventilation because this place stinks so bad. I'm pretty sure we will be going to a different gym next year. read more

We recently celebrated our daughters birthday at M&M. It was our first time at the gym and we had a very large group of kids which probably added to some of the issues we experienced. The first thing we noticed was the sweaty foot smell. Most gyms smell a bit, but this was on another level. The party area is in the entranceway and down a hallway. It's not an actual party room if that matters to you. They were quick to set up and had table cloths and some table toppers for decor which was nice. We opted for the party with the bounce house. It gives you 30 minutes of strict obstacle course time and 30 minutes of trampoline and bounce house time. Initially they had 2 kids bouncing at once while the line of kids waited - it was really slow moving so they finally let them bounce together. The kids kept asking when there would be open gym. Turns out there is no part of the party with open gym. Multiple kids were spoken to about sitting on a beam or hanging from a bar while waiting their turn. My daughter is a gymnast with another gym (that we missed out booking with), and she really wanted a chance to show her friends a beam routine or even climbing the rope to the top. They wouldn't allow her to do anything. I understand that they don't know my daughter and her abilities, but kids do much more at open gym and some of those kids have no business throwing big skills. We've been to both Salto's, Wildcard, the Y, Elite Tumbling, Midwest Twisters, etc. and it's been an organized free-for-all. The kids love it! I'm so disappointed with how boring the party was. We were also told that our current gym wasn't a great place and my daughter should tryout for the m&m team for a better experience. They could have invited her to try out without talking poorly about her current gym. We won't be back. read more

My family used to adore this place. We have attended M&M gymnastics since my daughter was 5 years old, she is now 9. We saw her at her most confidence. We loved Coach April, Coach Heather, and Coach Heidi. Then, Coach Heidi could not coach because of COVID and she was a cancer survivor. New coaches came to coach, my daughter had to start wearing a leotard. She has sensory issues, and no one else made a big deal out of her not wearing a leotard. It was panic attack. One after another. Finally, she kinda got over it. We moved to a town and it would take us an hour to get there. Over the summer, we tried to continue. The coach (a college student) for the summer was paying attention to another student. My daughter was pushing the limits too much on the bars. I have seen her hit her head way too much because her arms give out. I told her to slow down, take a deep breath, and that I believe in her. Another coach left her class to pull me to the side to say that I am not her coach, and to never do that again. When I told the coach that I have been here for 4 years and been doing this for 4 years, she gave me a nasty look. Well, my daughter saw that. My daughter told me that I was being a cheerleader and not a coach. Her coach said thank you to me. And it caused more anxiety for my daughter. Panic attacks for 2 weeks. The coach kept her eye on me the entire time I was there, and never to her own class. My daughter lost her self esteem and confidence. She asked to quit. We never returned. My daughter hates gymnastics now. I am mad at this gym and lost my respect. read more

Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable! They really care about the kids and passing on their love of gymnastics to them!

Best gym ever! All their equipment is safe to be on and it's a huge gym. Their open gyms are so much fun! They are super linnet! Not much or at all yelling at people. read more

The classes we took a few years back were fine, depends on the teacher. Drew seems great. Equipment is okay, place is SMELLY. This is more about weekend open gyms, a HUGE needed warning. Now they don't allow parents on the floor to watch our kids over age 6 (SIX!!?) anymore for those 2 hours. Your 7 year olds are screwed. I used to love coming. BUT the young arrogant millennial staff isn't watching. On phones or gossiping the WHOLE time. Disgusting. Had to unstuck my panicked son once (almost twice) from a pit, thank goodness I saw it, while staff was on the phone - they never looked up at all the kids. But I was asked to leave the floor!? Complained to office about staff not watching the unrulyness or the other kids at all, got a "liability" line. Well, if my kids gets hurt and I'm not allowed out there and your staff isn't watching my children? You bet that's a liability, I'll sue. LET parents sit, hang out and WATCH their own kids! These lazy child-staff twerps know nothing, don't care, and are NOT doing what I assume they are being paid to do. Watch. I have a ton of pics from the sidelines of "Jordan" and Lizzy or Izzy and some other young guy with I'm sure very coveted awesome feathered hair that probably took him an hour to coif perfectly, just sitting around facing EACH OTHER and on their phones LITERALLY every 10 seconds. 2 hours of of them hanging out doing their own personal thing, and NOT working. It was ridiculous! I know their names only because they kept saying "Oh Izzy you really want a sticker" or "hey Jordan isn't this a cute pic" showing her phone.. WTH!? Meanwhile my daughter can't get a turn on a piece of equipment due to a big kid taking up 5+ minutes. HELLO!!?? Turn around and watch! Won't be back until this policy is changed back, or they hire people with an actual work-ethic. Pitiful. read more

The coaches have a sign on the wall that says "100 ways to praise a child" apparently they haven't ever looked at it because I have NEVER heard a coach praise a child there. Children here are at times even bullied by coaches.. I have seen MANY children cry here due to how they were treated. Not only are the coaches at M&M completely awful with children but some coaches have completely no idea what they are doing!! Most of the drills that were taught to my daughter were useless, which I know because I am a coach. The coach she had made her feel unwanted. Not absolutely every coach is awful but if your child ever gets a women named Dawn Marie for their coach, take them out of that class immediately. My daughter had her for a while and she would go home and cry.. Yes, cry. She said things to my child that were just awful, I wouldn't think anyone would treat someone that way, let alone a child, I couldn't believe it. She felt scared to go to gymnastics, drove her to quit. She is a bully. read more
