We paid for gymnastics classes for my daughter in February of 2020. My daughter was only able to…read moreattend one class before the start of Covid. We called and were told that we weren't able to receive a refund but that our money could be applied to future classes. Fast forward to six months ago when we called to restart classes. We were told that a manager would return our call, which they never did. We called again last month to follow up and we were told that our money could no longer be used toward classes. The employee said that everyone that paid was called and told that their money would be expiring if not used by a certain date, which was about six months ago. We never got a call and have been trying to reach a manager for six months via phone. Lazy or dishonest operation to take our daughters money and not provide the service we paid for. Unbelievable, We are contemplating small claims court over this, what a headache. Take your business somewhere else. Update: We received a call and it now looks like our credit will be honored. Will provide another update when the classes are completed.

As a first time adult I found the environment absolutely chaotic. It is difficult at best to watch your children, hear above the din and very little waiting seating. However the children seemed to really like their class as coaches and that's what it is all about anyway.

I had spent a few…read moreyears coaching alongside other gyms and watched the way they interacted with their athletes and new the M&M was known for being encouraging as well as producing solid athletes. My daughter was very nervous and unsure about making the switch because she was leaving something that was familiar to her for the last six years. During her try out practice she received a warm welcome and left wanting to be signed up immediately. There were some things that took a little getting used to but I don't think you can expect any businesses to run exactly like their competition. Any time we had questions, we got answers from their friendly front desk staff. We've now got a full season under our belt and are very happy with our choice. For me, the biggest thing I noticed about M&M is the amount of respect given to the athletes by the coaches. I often come early to pick my daughter up and I have never heard a coach yell or say anything demeaning. She is up training a lot and enjoying practice again. There has been a complete shift in her confidence which has created a complete shift in her as a person. We are very happy with our decision and are excited to watch our girl continue to grow in the sport.

Went here a few weeks ago with our daughter. So many parents just sitting around on their phones…read morenot paying attention to their kids. My biggest complaint was how dirty everything was. This is a kids play place and it looks like it's never been cleaned. We were barely there an hour before we left because everything we touched had a nasty coating of black grime all over it. Couldn't wash our hands enough when we left.

I have also had a couple experiences that have helped me to learn what truly makes those outstanding gyms different. I've only been at Evolution Fitness (functional fitness training) for 3 months, and the owner and staff exude excellence in all they do, personally and professionally. They model qualities and share knowledge that help me to be a little better person each day in all areas of my life. THEY invest in US!! It is not just a job. You can tell. Besides the above (I love love love the staff), this is what makes Evolution Fitness different from the other functional fitness type gyms in Milwaukee, and I have tried many of them: (1) the coaches have an ongoing personal relationship with each member of the gym and seem genuinely interested in my goals and growth (2) low athlete to coach ratio (very rare in Milwaukee, more common in Ohio where I am originally from) (3) a community that is not divided into cliques by skill level so everyone is connected (4) personal attention from the coaches when you have a question or need some help. The personal aspect is so important to me in terms of me being able to maintain a high level of motivation so I come regularly and train hard! Coaches get me excited to train, ensure I am growing in my movement quality, and push me in my workouts. I have felt no judgment or micromanaging. The owner truly believes that fitness should be the best hour of the day. Oh and he loves that the community often comes early and stays late because we are tight! Even being new, I am fully integrated and feel well supported by members and staff. The owner is incredibly positive and seems to have hired coaches with a positive and generous style of coaching as well. So AMAZING! I just cannot say enough positive about this gym. I was so lucky to have heard about it. You can even train outside of class times if your schedule does not allow you to get to regularly scheduled classes. I have finally gotten settled in my life in Milwaukee. No more moving around the country. And the search was long but I also found the gym I will not move from. Jon and everyone that goes there were so warm and welcoming, it's like I've been working out with them for years. Even though I was only going to be there for a month, Jon went out of his way to make sure I understood the workouts, I had good form, and challenged me to push myself harder.
