For what this is, this place is pretty awesome…read more What this place is is: A large sports complex that has the capacity to house adult recreational soccer, kids' volleyball, roller derby, high school baseball, etc., etc. It's owned and operated by the Milwaukee County Parks System. Essentially, it's a giant field house that can accommodate any and all types of sporting matches you can think of (save for swimming, ice skating, etc.) You get the idea. A giant giant indoor space can be divided into four different spaces, and rental rates are relatively inexpensive. For larger spectator events, the Sports Complex staff will do parking, security, concessions, etc. There are large-ish locker rooms and ample bathrooms for a place of this size. They have bleachers. The have outdoor fields as well for soccer, baseball, and whatever else you could want to play outside. We played our first four Bruiser home seasons here, and despite the fact that it's not exactly centrally located (it's all the way out in Franklin), it suited our growing needs just fine. (Now, however, we've moved to the US Cellular Arena, as we could no longer fit our fan base into the Sports Complex.) It's a nice addition to our parks system, and a great place for kids/amateur/recreational sporting matches. It was great for our BCB home season too, but change is good, too.

Besides the friendly front desk and on-site masseuse, I love having the option of the outdoor running/ walking track and the outdoor pool during the summer months. This location still has an indoor pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna as well. Of course hand towels and bath towels are complimentary and the locker rooms are clean & I have zero complaints with the lockers themselves. There is a variety of fitness classes offered throughout the week and plenty of equipment to use for both cardio and strength training. Early mornings I can relax for a few minutes before a spin class with a cup of coffee in the seating area. Personal trainers, premium classes and childcare services are also offered. The WAC apps allow for a quick and easy check in to the club as well as for classes signed up for through the app (at any of their locations). Having been a member here for a number of years, I appreciate the number of amenities and the flexibility to use the different locations. The pricing seems fair for what I get and how well maintained the equipment and overall facilities are, plus the variety of classes I get to choose from.

I've been going up at Elite Sports Clubs since I was 14 years old, back when it was primarily just…read morea tennis club. I started taking tennis lessons there with Scott and have always had a great experience. Over the years, I've watched the club evolve into so much more. The facilities are always clean--whether it's the tennis courts, the gym, or the newly added pickleball area. There's also a place to just hang out and have a snack or a drink. Recently, I've been visiting the Mequon and River Glen locations more often. There's a full gym now, a pool, saunas, and really nice locker rooms with all the amenities you could need. The addition of pickleball is a great bonus, and the staff and coaches continue to be friendly, helpful, and fun to learn from. Yes, the membership is on the pricier side, but given the range of amenities and the quality of the facilities, I absolutely think it's worth it if you take advantage of everything they offer. No refund was given we had to wait the 4 months (almost eight hundred dollars) for us to be credited toward our membership. Then we tried to cancel and they charged us for an extra month. The over billing happened a lot and no one ever talked to you. Everything went into the abyss of email. Don't join! Don't waste your money.
