They only take cash or check. ATM on site has a fee. No sign anywhere about cash or check; they just tell you when you pull your card out. Feels like a racket to make extra fees. Office is dark, dingy feeling; feels very sketchy. The state ought to require this kind of business to take debit cards, given that vehicle licensing is not voluntary. Best place in the area to handle your car sales, titles, tabs, and all that. Small family run business, and has been a part of our community a very long time. I try not to go anywhere else. The license plate collection on the walls is the best I have ever seen. read more

This place closes at 5pm, but for title registrations they will not help customers past 4:30. It was disappointing to arrive 20 minutes before closing and be turned away. read more

This is where I go everytime to take care of our vehicles. These folks are always very kind, and go out of their way to make things easier for their customers. I have only seen one rather questionable exchange between the staff and a customer, and trust me, had I been the staff member it would have turned out much differently. They bent over backwards to try to help a very "entitled" individual who thought they should not have to provide any documentation, but no matter how hard they tried to make things easier for customer, nothing was good enough. No matter how ugly the customer got, the staff at M&L maintained their composure. I was impressed! I personally have always gotten top notch service, making this the ONLY place I go to take care of licensing needs for our household. read more

I used M&L today to register an out-of-state vehicle. The whole process took only about 15-20 minutes, including my disabled placard. Of course, I read the instructions at the WA DOL site online, and came prepared, but that's not difficult. I had an original title document from my old state, all the necessary information and forms, and was prepared to write a check. Note that the check was payable to the Department of Licensing, NOT the local business. The clerk who helped me was polite and helpful, and I would certainly use this business again. From reading other comments, perhaps some of the other posters didn't bring the appropriate documents with them, and that necessitated a second trip. Although it seems bizarre to me to have private businesses handling what is a basic state government function that could be handled at existing DMV offices (as in every other state I've lived in), this office seems to be managing the task OK. read more

I have used this service a number of times and always found that they were friendly and pretty efficient. Sometimes they are pretty busy and it may take a little time. I have used this privately owned subagent many times over the years and have always had a great experience. The staff are friendle and knowledgeable. I always come prepared so I am able to complete my task. The state only accepts cash or check, so it is the same at a subagent since checks are written payable to the Department of Licensing. A complete joke, sent me all over town to get unneeded paper work wasted my entire morning. Sent me to to the Dept. of Revenue to asses the tax value of my $1400 car, as the entire Dept. was laughing at M & L I paid my 127.80, left then went back to M & L where she proceeded to tell me I still owe the 127.80 in tax after I showed her the signature and stamp of the DoR agent. There are plenty of other places to go in town go to any of them other than this place, which I did and everything was done in less than 10 min without someone being condescending or rude to you the entire time. read more

I should have listened to the previous reviews and avoided this place. The younger female employee had such an attitude and was quite unhelpful regarding the process of trying to register an out-of-state car. Unfortunately, I'll have to return to complete the registration and am not looking forward to dealing with them again. read more

I figured I would stop in and renew my tabs since this is the closest Licensing Agency near my house. When I first walked in the two receptionist would not stop talking. No "Hi, How are you today." I didn't feel very welcomed. I told the receptionist I was here to renew my tabs and she just stared at me. No, ok I will need this and that in order to renew your tabs. I had to ask her would you like to see my ID? I was not happy about the lack in customer service so I quickly wrote her check, got my paperwork and new tabs and left. I didn't even get a "Have a nice day." Save yourself a trip and go else where. I won't be going to this location again! read more
