This was a long term repair because the entire car got repainted and fixed including frame repair, fender replacement, front bumper replacement and a lot of small parts and undercarriage repairs also. The paint came out great on this 2004 Lexus LS430. I am still working on the car but got a great start using Lakeshore to repaint and repair.

So I dropped my Hyundai Tucson off at Bob Davis Auto Repair to get a quote and diagnose the A/C not…read moreworking along with the check engine light that had come on. Vinnie told me everything looked fine and that he'd email me a quote after I left my information. Later that day, I received the quote for a new A/C compressor totaling $1,100. Since this was my first time at the shop, I wanted to double-check that this was definitely the issue before committing. After emailing him back that I'll take some time to think it over, he responds saying I owe him a $150 diagnosis fee added on that was never mentioned when I dropped the car off. I called to politely ask about it and whether I had signed anything or been told about the fee upfront. Vinnie immediately responded with, "Never mind, you're not my type of customer, don't ever call me again," and hung up on me. I have no issue paying a diagnosis fee when it's disclosed in advance, but the lack of transparency and the abrupt, unprofessional reaction spoke volumes. It felt like a shady tactic, especially during my very first interaction with the business. Overall, extremely unprofessional and not a shop I can recommend.

The whole time someone else was receiving my information and code. Very unprofessional customer service. Never again will I do business here. I had to call police because I couldn't get in touch with anyone and I would've had to wait until the next week to get the key for my car.
