Horrible service, shitty food and atmosphere. Place use to be solid and new ownership ruined it, shame

I went there once. They tried to charge me twice for my bar tab. Full of goofy younger people. I never went back.

I really wanted to like this place…read more I came here on New Year's Eve and they had a free buffet, which honestly set the bar pretty high. Simple food but done well -- a sub, stroganoff, salad. Nothing fancy, just generous and genuinely appreciated. Between that and seeing all the events at The Hut (bands, brunch, paint & sip, Super Bowl parties), I fully planned on coming back. Unfortunately, this return visit changed my mind. I ordered the turkey Reuben with onion rings. The onion rings were cooked so hard they lost all flavor, and the turkey was smoked but extremely dry. To make matters worse, there was a small piece of blue plastic or bristle in the sandwich. Service was polite, but uncomfortable at times. The older man -- who I believe may be the owner -- lingered very close, seemed shaky, and poured drinks far stronger than intended. I usually appreciate a generous pour, but these were unbalanced and not enjoyable. When the bill came, there was a cash vs credit price option, and we were told we were the first guests to use the new system. Even so, the total still didn't match the menu prices we ordered from, and that wasn't clearly explained upfront, which made the experience confusing. Ambiance-wise, it's a classic dive bar -- no complaints there. Live bands, lots of events, and a hole-in-the-wall feel. That part is honestly the strongest draw. For anyone unfamiliar, this used to be Mangan's Irish Hut for years. The original owners retired, someone new bought it, and now it's just "The Hut." The Irish Hut signage is still on the building, with BBQ signage in spots as well, so it feels like the place is still finding its identity. If I'm speaking directly to the owner: there is potential here. The event ideas and community focus are great. But food consistency, drink balance, menu accuracy, and clearer communication all need attention.

Stopped in with friends for my buddies retirement and didn't know what to expect as I never been…read morehere. Well it's definitely a dive bar and had that feel to it. My friends ordered chicken and they loved it lightly breaded and was cooked right. They have several beers on tap, I would say about 10, I had Yuengling. Our server was super nice and kept our beers full all evening. They had a singer come in too, and it was Wednesday evening. Wasn't pricey either so would come back.

Came here because it was close to the tennis club we were at and it made a good meeting place with…read more2 other couples. The owner Ray greeted us and was super friendly. The bar wasn't very busy even though it was Friday night and we picked a 6 person high top. We tried the chicken tenders on his recommendation and he was right about them - they were delicious. Our friends got the fried mushrooms and some chicken tenders also. They enjoyed them. The white wine I ordered was surprisingly good for a bar. The beer list wasn't huge, but our friends tried the Kona and gave it an ok. We'll stop in again if we're out that way.

We went to meet another couple and we drove about 38 minutes to get here... I really don't know…read morewhat we were expecting, but you have to pay a cover charge, there's a band playing covers of other bands.... it is so packed you have to brush shoulders with every single person in there,. And they seem to very clicky I can't even begin to tell you how many people were staring at me like I was Some evil impostor lol....there's a younger crowd here. The only thing I enjoyed about this is there's an outdoor bar area that wasn't as packed as in the inside....The waitress took FOREVER and didn't even come up to us after she walked by at least 6 TIMES. I hate to say this but some people call me a KAREN....which I despise. But in my opinion there's NOTHING wrong with paying good money for good service, plus I tip ama3zing. So I went against my Mr.'s orders stood up and stamped my feet over to her and held up money in my hand so I could get her attention..... *(usually girls will come right up to you if you have money in your hand lol)* none the less she served me right away at that point lol... I don't think I'm ever gonna be back.
