It takes them a minimum of 48 hrs to respond. Gout is incredibly painful. And if you catch it early and get on colchicine- you can really limit the impact. Their ridiculously slow response exacerbates the issue. Everytime, I eventually have to call the after hours Dr on call - and they usually get on it immediately. But it seems this group doesn't have an effective organization to care for their patients' needs. (This delay has nothing to do with current virus issues - this is a long term problem and has happened EVERY TIME I have needed their help. And, trying to watch a 7 & 11 yr old during this lockdown when I can't walk makes this especially frustrating.
